Ella’s Kitchen Good Snacking Revolution – Stand Up For Good Snacks!

Ella’s Kitchen is a pretty popular brand in our house. Whilst Jack doesn’t eat as many products from the brand as he used to, they are always a failsafe when it comes to snacking in our household and we were recently sent the new snacking range to try out.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when this large ‘The Green One’ box turned up. Just what type of snacks would be inside? Ella’s Kitchen are well known for their quality and tasty ingredients so we were interested to see what new concoctions they had come up with.
There were eight products in the box – four tubes of multigrain nibbles, two packets of cracker bites and two packets of multigrain wheels. Amongst the nibble tubes, there were flavours of tomatoes & basil, raspberries & banana, carrots & cumin and apples & cinnamon. Jack has been working his way through them over the past few weeks – believe me, you get a lot of nibbles in each tube – and I can safely say that his favourites are the strawberries & banana flavour shortly followed by apple & cinnamon. I’ve tried a handful of each as well and I’d have to agree with him – the sweeter options definitely have a lot more flavour and are more enjoyable to snack upon. The tubes are also very handy to pop in your bag, meaning these are an easy snack to take with you on a day out.

The cracker bites were devoured within days – we were sent parsnips & poppyseeds and tomato & fennel. We are quite lucky with Jack’s eating habits in the sense that he loves pretty much any fruit or vegetable, bar a tiny number. This means he is always eager to try fruity or veggie food items and they generally go down a treat – these were wolfed down in a matter of seconds. The multigrain wheels were a product he took a little more time over. Coming in the cheddar & leeks and carrot &leeks flavours, these were slightly more interesting to look at for Jack as crisp products so he spent more time over eating them. I’m not going to lie though – no one else got a look in, Jack wouldn’t share with anybody!
What I love about Ella’s Kitchen as a brand is that they are fun, fresh and exciting. The packets for their products are always wonderfully illustrated and interesting and the brand as a whole gives off a really great vibe to me as a customer. They obviously recognise their target audience – they need to make food for children and entice them but they need to get the parents onside too. The colourful packaging certainly does that – children get excited to eat their products and parents are more than happy to give in, knowing that Ella’s Kitchen products are full of goodness.

I’m also impressed with them as a parent. As part of their Good Snacking Revolution, they sent us some fun little items alongside the snacks. We were sent a megaphone, a ‘Stand up for good snacks’ flag, a blank placard, stickers and crayons. Jack had great fun playing with the megaphone and decorating that and the placard.

With no added refined sugar or salt, no concentrates, no additives or colourings and full of tasty goodness and fun textures for children to try, I am very happy as a parent and will be sure to purchase more snacks from them in the future.
The new range is available in most major retailers and the products retail from £1.79-£1.99.
