Easter Monday Treats

This weekend was meant to be a whole bundle of fun for myself and Jack. Even though Steve was working all weekend (double time, woohoo!), I had so many things planned. Unfortunately, that all came to a standstill at 2am on Saturday morning when I came down with a bug. Steve still had to go to work but luckily my Mum took Jack shopping in town so I could rest and recuperate. Just my luck – Jack got the bug yesterday! So what was meant to be todays Easter Monday treats will now be tomorrows Tuesday treats instead as he has been free from any symptoms for 24 hours…could only happen over Easter, right?

We were sent a lovely selection of Easter goodies from Asda and Jack took great delight in sampling the iced bunny biscuit before Good Friday had even arrived – I even took a bite myself and it is perfect for toddlers if you don’t want them to have too much chocolate! He has yet to try the mega mallow bunny (something I am keeping especially for him) and myself and Steve have only had little bites of the egg so far but it is absolutely gorgeous – although Asda stopped selling Easter eggs online yesterday due to a manic rush, here’s hoping you can pop in over the next few days and snap up some bargains! I know I might have to.

We’re going to be having a belated Easter this year as ours went to pot – tomorrow is going to be all about using the Create Your Own Easter Scene and Jack getting to try out everything. It is his first Easter where he really understands something is going on so I would hate for him to miss out on the whole thing – even if we do have to do everything a day late.

How was your Easter?

  1. That Easter Egg looks AMAZING! Next year I will definitely be getting something like that, I've seen so many of those ones around and with that being Asda I'm sure it's cheaper than most! xx

  2. We had the same thing happen to us – except it was my youngest who was poorly. We had treats today instead once he'd perked up. I've heard of a few being poorly this weekend 🙁

  3. Those looks delicious.
I'm glad you and ack are feeling better, it's no fun being ill.
