Collaborative Post
How often do you see creators saying that if you want to check something out, you can click the link in bio? Yup, me too. It is a great way to get our audience clicking onto our content. However having only one link space can be so frustrating when you have a variety of things to share. There are a few ‘link in bio’ resources that claim to be free at the point of use but you soon find hidden costs.
I’ve recently been trialling Direct.me. They are a link in bio resource that claim to be really free with no subscriptions, no upgrades and no hidden costs. I’ve taken the time to set myself up on there and include the links on my various social medias and thought I’d share with you my thoughts.

Who Are Direct.me?
The Direct.me team call themselves an eager team with a clickable appetite and I just love that! Their mission has always been to bring content creators closer to the people and things they love. They want to help them connect with their audience easily and I think that is great!
Led by Tom Packer and Derrick Chafin and backed by Fuel Ventures, they are growing quickly and it is easy to see why!
What Can You Expect?
You can expect an unlimited amount of links, the ability to embed content, different profile styles and themes to use, stats and analytics as well as zero fees on donations from followers – yes, there’s even an option for that!

Setting Up
Setting up took little to no time at all. I signed up with ease and set about submitting my links. I felt the most important ones were my work website, my main blog, my Instagram, Twitter and TikTok. I am currently utilising my Direct.me link on all three of the social medias I mentioned so it only seemed right they were included.

As you can see, it is really easy to add links and you can move them up and down accordingly. There are many different things you can add as shown in the photos above and you can even earn if you so wish – there is the opportunity to earn by referring friends to use the site or a way that your audience can pay via Stripe. I don’t ask my audience to donate or pay me anything but I thought there was no harm including it there – it may be a great way for clients to pay me! I also enter a lot of competitions and some pay via Stripe or something similar so they can easily access my link.
I spent some time tinkering around with the theme before I finally settled on one I like. I didn’t like the font it automated so I changed that and now have a font I am really happy with. You can see below the finished result:

This is what people see when they click on the link in my bio and I love it – it is clear, easy to read and contains all the links they need. As time goes on and I have important news, campaigns or giveaways to share, I can add more links in.

The link fits in well on my social media platforms – I chose to customise my URL so people would know that the link was directly related to me before clicking it. It is unassuming, unintrusive but allows people to catch more of my content if they wish to do so.
Extras

Something I really appreciated was the email newsletters you also get, telling you how many people have viewed or clicked on your links. I actually received my first one on the day of setting up, just a few hours in, so was it was really interesting to see what return I could expect from using the resource.
My Final Thoughts
Overall I have been very impressed by Direct.me so far. I love that they are free – I’ve tried other resources who then hit me with unexpected costs which I was not happy with! I love the fact that Direct.me include so many different things so you really can share exactly the content you want with your audience and maybe even earn from it too! I will definitely be using this going forward and I will definitely be shuffling things around when I have new things to share.
Do you use a resource like this? Have you tried Direct.me before?

This is not a service I’ve tried. I’ve used a competitor brand instead, but this seems like there’s more customising. I think I’ll have to have a nosey!
This looks like a very useful feature, especially that it is free. I agree that the one liner on Instagram is not enough to list the many services we, bloggers, offer.
I have been looking for a decent free link in bio for a while now. Not heard of these, but going to give them ago. Thanks for sharing
I think your profile looks so clear and it is much easier to see more about you and your links than some of the other programmes that are out there x
I need to set up something like this because currently I send people to a page on my website which isn’t always as easy and clear x
I have not heard of Direct Me but only the other day I was thinking I wish there was something like this. Thank you so much for this.
This looks like a great way of linking to all your social profiles, I’ll have to check it out.
