I was sent a Degustabox for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
Don’t forget you can get your first box here. Here are our thoughts on the May Degustabox. Use this code ZVDSC to get £3 off your first box!

So what did we think of the May box? The theme this month is BBQ & Garden Party.

Creative Nature Apple & Cinnamon Oatie Snack Bar – £1.40
All too often, snack bars like this suffer with a lack of flavour however this has plenty of flavour. It is full of natural ingredients and is free from the top 14 allergens. It ia also vegan, kosher and contains no added sugar or artificial sugars.
I’d definitely pick these up again if I saw them in the supermarket.

Pelagonia Chargrilled Aubergine Slices – £3.20
I am the only one who likes aubergine in the house so I am the only one who has tried these. They are umami smoky chargrilled slices and whilst they took a bit of getting used to, I quite like them. They are perfect to put in salads, on antipasti or meze sharing boards, among other things. I’m not sure I’d pick them up again.

KitKat 4 Finger Hazelnut Chocolate Bar – 85p
You already know we are big fans of KitKats in this house so this barely made it out of the box. Delicious!

Batchelors Super Noodles Air – £1.45 each
We always have noodles in our house so we were really happy to see these and they have, of course, already been consumed. They are the same Super Noodles you know and love but they are air dried not dried. These are a light lunch option with plenty of flavour as well as being high in fibre, low in fat and a source of protein. So, so good.

Cape Herb & Spice Greek Style Lemon & Herb Rub – £3.75
If you know anything about my household, you will know we love our seasonings, marinades and rubs so we were happy to see this included. With summer fast approaching, this flavour is perfect for those summer evenings, enjoying dishes in the garden.

Cirio Polpa Finissima – £1.50
We always have chopped tomatoes in our cupboard, they are always helpful. These are new extra finely cut tomato pulp that retains all the natural flavour of 100% Italian freshly picked tomatoes. These are the Product of the Month and it is easy to see why as these will be a staple for everyone.

Mixilogist’s Garden Freeze-Dried Strawberry Slices – £2.50
I’ve popped these in the cupboard as I am yet to enjoy a cocktail since giving birth to Charlie in January! They sound amazing though!

The Hungry Boar Flamin’ Piri Piri Sticklers – £1.50
Steve is on a weight loss journey right now and is always looking for good sources of protein. He was happy to see these and took them for lunch one day. They are perfectly seasoned, smoked and dried and he quite enjoyed them.

Lorenz X-Cut Paprika – £1.25
These were quite tasty crisps however I found the flavour of paprila a little underwhelming. These are gluten free which is great.

PROPER Mature Cheddar PROPERCORN – £1.90
We love cheese in our house but me and Steve weren’t as big fans of this as the kids were – they LOVED these. They are under 100kcals, gluten free and use natural flavourings. I’d definitely pick them up again for the kids.

Squeezeit Bubblegum & Blue Raspberry – 69p each
The two older kids took these straight away! The flavours are sweet shop inspired and these drinks barely lasted two minutes out of the box. I’ll definitely be picking these up again.
A great box this month although I am not sure how well everything fits in with the theme! The box contents come to over £19 which is a great deal when you consider how little you are paying for the actual box!

Such a great box!
That snack bar does sound full of flavour and we go through so many packs of Super Noodles here. x
