December 2013 Empties

I haven’t done an empties post in a while and actually planned on getting this up before 2014 started but kept forgetting to take pictures! Anyway, I finally took them and here is what I finished up at the tail end of 2013…

I’ve been keeping all my empties in this blue bag – as you can see, it was overflowing!
Johnson’s Baby Shampoo – I can’t take all the credit for this as Jack obviously uses this too. However, this is fantastic for cleaning my makeup brushes and there is always some to hand because of Jack. Would always repurchase. 
Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner – I originally loved these when I first bought them (I posted about them here) as they made my hair feel super soft and shiny. Someone did point out how full of silicon they were and how they may not be good for my hair in the long run. Towards the end of these, my hair really started to suffer; the effect was wearing off. Definitely wouldn’t repurchase.
Quickies Nail Varnish Remover Pads – I don’t really wear nail polish so don’t remember the last time I used these. I just happened to be decluttering my beauty stash and came across them with two left, both dried out. When using these regularly, they are absolutely fantastic. If I was to paint my nails more often, I would definitely repurchase these.
Snowman Bath Bomb from Bomb Cosmetics – What can I say? It was a nice bath bomb, did what it is supposed to. I have a whole set of Bomb Cosmetics to get through so may not pick this one up again.
Marks & Spencer Fair Trade cotton pads – I have SO many cotton pads in my storage – I probably won’t need to buy any for ages! These ones are super soft and really nice. Good quality but a higher price point – would think first before buying these again.
Soft & Pure luxury cotton wool cosmetic pads – Not as nice as the M&S ones but nice enough that I would probably repurchase. Great for when I am taking my makeup off.
Simply Pure 3 in 1 Cleansing Facial Wipes – I only use wipes for removing makeup mistakes or perhaps swatches from my hand so the cheapest brand will do. May repurchase.
Yankee Candle ‘Thank You’ White Chocolate Mint Tumbler – Actually going to try and get the last little bit out but had to share this with you – this smells divine!
Arran Aromatics Lavender & Tea Tree Facial Wash – This was in my Beauteco (now known as Love Me Beauty) box back in August which I posted about here. It took me a while to pick this out of my stash, especially as I am not a big lavender fan. However, this was a great pick me up in the mornings and I would purchase again for this reason.
Tesco Sensitive Eye Makeup Remover – This was a very cheap buy from Tesco – I just thought I’d give it a go. DON’T BOTHER.

Savar Pure & Natural Essential Hydration Moisturiser – I’ve had this for a while and keep putting it aside for other moisturisers. This one was good and did what it was supposed to but the price is a little high for me to consider repurchasing.
So…? Brit miniature body spray – Yes, another So…? can! This was okay – can’t beat So…? Sinful though! Would possibly repurchase.
Clean On Me miniature shower gel – I always talk about how much I love this – it is divine!
Elemis Freshskin Skin Glow Exfoliating Face Wash (pr sample) – I reviewed this here and my thoughts remain the same. Whilst it was lovely to use and smelt amazing, I am unsure about repurchasing as I have other just as good products for a lower price.
S5 Calm Serum Redness & Sensitive Skin – Loved this! This was also a product in my Love Me Beauty box and I mentioned loving it then – I still do. I have far too many serums to use up at the moment but I will definitely come back to this.
Korres Evening Primrose eye cream – This was okay, nothing special. I have numerous eye creams so probably wouldn’t repurchase.

Lancome Hypnose Star miniature mascara – I love this and thought it was my HG mascara until I met Benefit They’re Real. Once I’ve used the other mascara’s in my stash, I will let them fight it out once more.

Clinique High Impact miniature mascara – If Benefit and Lancome are my top two, this would come third. As before, I’d have to finish others up first before contemplating repurchasing.

Ginvera BB Cream (PR Sample) – I don’t need to tell you how much I love this; I reviewed it here and have gone through countless tubes of it – I am very lucky that I keep receiving them in goodie bags! Love, love, love!

Rimmel Stay Matte foundation in Ivory – I used to love this foundation but as I was getting to the end, it just seemed to have lost its wow factor. The line has had a rebrand now so the product doesn’t even look like this anymore!

Collection Primed and Ready Smoothing Makeup Primer – Again, I used to love this product but it has lost its edge with me. Would repurchase if on offer.

No 7 Exceptional Definition miniature mascara – I wasn’t much of a fan of this – it did the job but didn’t leave me wowed like others do. Probably wouldn’t repurchase.

  4. I really wanted to try that Yankee but I couldn't find it anywhere. Chip out the extra wax and put it in a burner if you have one 🙂

  7. Thats alot of empties! Want to try Clean on Me soon~ Btw i have heard many scary stories about Johnsons baby products.. i dont use any johnsons products for my son at all.. please do have a look into it. I hope you dont mind me saying it.
