Completing Our Christmas Lists

Now that Jack is almost three, he is becoming much more susceptible to television adverts – especially the ones shown on channels such as Nick Jr during the day. He has recently requested a Lalaloopsy doll, a Thomas and Friends track set and a Batcave for ‘Chrisssmass’. The channels are full of bright and colourful adverts right now so is it any wonder our children are falling victim to their charms?

Steve’s just as bad however. His list includes a PS4 or an Xbox One, a new laptop – the list goes on and on much like Jack’s. It was only the other day I realised that I didn’t really know what I wanted for Christmas – I always want books (even though I have too many of them), beauty products (ditto) or something unique that really means something.  Every year I am like this – leaving it until the last minute before realising what I truly want and making it extremely hard for those people who are buying for me! 

I have mentioned in the past that we want a much bigger kitchen when we move so kitchen gadgets are always on my list – even throughout the year – and current products on the want list are a juicer and an ice cream maker – we’ve seen some great ones at Tesco. There are plenty of kitchen gadgets out there that don’t really serve a use but products like this would be used all the time in my house and would potentially save us lots of money in the long run – our fridge and freezer are currently stocked full of juice and ice cream, a habit that is starting to become just a little bit expensive! Some new kitchen gadgets would just make everything a little easier.

I do have those presents on my wishlist that I know I won’t get, however. You know, the ones where you wish to get a new sofa or a huge cash win. However, as long as I’ve got my family, some food, some books and a couple of kitchen gadgets when Christmas rolls around – I will be one happy girl.
