Food and drink is a crucial part of the festivities when it comes to Christmas. From leaving items out for Santa to eating that roast with all the trimmings, food & drink presents are always popular and are something that we always tend to veer towards when buying for others.
When it comes to Steve’s parents, we know a few things will always go down well and tend to stick to the same ideas. Whilst we often think about venturing out, we are always drawn in by gift sets and hampers, filled with the things that they love. This hamper would be the perfect Christmas gift for both Steve’s Dad and Steve actually – and at the time of writing it, is currently on offer. Now to hope Steve doesn’t read this post…
FOR THE SWEET TOOTH
When it comes to Christmas gifts, chocolate always goes down a treat. I’m normally disappointed if I don’t have some form of chocolate treat and who doesn’t love a good old tin of Quality Street or Roses?
Perhaps the children you are buying for would appreciate a Godiva Christmas Stocking (£17)*, filled with luxurious limited edition Christmas Collection sujets. Once eaten (which doesn’t take too long – so tasty!), the stocking can be used as a tree decoration.
If buying for the lady in your life, what about some treats from Divine Chocolate?* With some awesome flavours to try, these would be the perfect gift for any chocolate lover. Some of the products available include Milk Chocolate & Spiced Toffee Apple (£2.49), After Dinner Ginger Thins (£3.50), Milk Chocolate Festive Shapes (£3.50) and Gold Coins (£2) – however if you have children the latter two won’t last very long.
If you’re buying for a sweet tooth but want something a little quirky, why not buy them some Boomf marshmallows?* At $25 for a box of 9, they are a cute, quirky and affordable gift that are perfect for anyone – my Mum was really happy when I presented her with these!
If that isn’t for them, what about this Jelly Belly Gift Box (£20)? I know Steve would love this and Jelly Belly are always BIG sellers!
SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT
If you’re looking for something a little different, why not consider some Cherizena Coffee? They have some great coffee collections including the Chocolate Lovers, Nutty and Festive Flavours collections, starting from just £7! Our extended family has recently been trying some of their Christmas coffee* and can only say good things!
If the person you are buying for is more of a liquer type, perhaps the premium Spanish liquer Licor 43* is a little more up their street? With hints of caramel and vanilla (and perfect in coffees), this could be the quirky little present they need in their life!
If the recipient is anything like me, they LOVE tea. We all know the big name brands – but they aren’t exciting to receive as a gift. How about some teas from Teatulia?* With no calories and available in five amazing flavours: Lemongrass Herbal Infusion, Tulsi Infusion, Earl of Bengal, Teatulia Green Tea and Teatulia Black Tea – there is bound to be something to suit everyone’s tastes. Boxes of 20 retail at £3.40 each and are available from Holland & Barrett, Harrods and, selected independent health and wholefood stores nationwide.
WHY NOT CELEBRATE?
When it comes to Christmas, we all like to let our hair down a little so why not give a celebratory alcoholic beverage for the festive season? I normally buy my Mum a bottle of Smirnoff vodka at Christmas so I am always looking for the best deals around on alcohol about this time of year. Something like this Smirnoff Vodka Gift Set would be perfect!
For the JD lover, what about this set of Jack Daniels Whiskey Miniatures
? Christmas is the time that the good deals on gift sets come out so take advantage and stock up for the year ahead – affordable presents for the whole year round then too!
TRADITIONAL
Finally we have the traditional gifts to give for Christmas. Whilst port and cheese is a fairly traditional gift, you can’t deny that most of us have been given these gifts over the years…
How about the Quality Street or even the Roses?
Or finally..what about this awesome Round Slide Out Cheese Board and Knife Set for just £13.99? I think I may not have finished my Christmas shopping after all..
I could buy foodie gifts forever and ever but I think people would probably get a little bored with me..
Do you like buying food and drinks for presents at this time of year?

This post has made me so hungry! I haven't bought any foodie gifts this year, all my Christmas shopping is done!
I would definitely like to find some Divine chocolate in my stocking! We had some for Valentines Day last year and they were delish 😀
Great picks
Louise x
My kids love those chocolate coins so they always get some of those under the tree each Xmas and we always make sure we have a tin of sweets (or two!) to pick at while the Xmas TV is on… It's the perfect time to indulge without guilt 🙂 xx
