With Christmas hurriedly approaching, the rush is on to get presents for everyone on your list, buy the food and drink for the day and purchase those new outfits for all of the Christmas parties you will be attending.
December often gets booked up with the number of different events we have to attend and I am no different. With Jack being at school now, I have not only his Christmas parties but also the parents Christmas gathering to attend, not counting the local bloggers annual Christmas meet up meal, family parties and friends too! Now I don’t know about you but I don’t think I can wear the same dress to all of them which is why I’m glad I have found Tickled Pink’s Christmas costumes – they certainly bring the fun back into Christmas parties. They even have some fab accessories for those who are a little shy when it comes to dressing up.
I’m sorely tempted to ask the bloggers who will be attending the Christmas meal to dress up for it in fancy dress rather than in our glad rags – why not have some fun and do something different? Of course, a snowman or Santa outfit may attract some stares but I’ve found a few Christmas fancy dress outfits that I would love to wear – and I’m sure the other girls would too.
Christmas is all about having fun and with December being so busy for me, starting off with Jack’s birthday and then the school’s Christmas events before we even consider things myself and Steve are invited to, the month can also sometimes get a little bit stressful. Injecting a little more fun into a situation with fancy dress is always my answer – I’ve dressed up in fancy dress numerous times in the past and as it has been a while since I last did so, I’m determined to dress up at least once this year.
I think if I do dress up this year, I will probably opt for a Miss Snowman costume – it’s something a little different from the norm and whilst it is fancy dress, it is also super stylish too. I’ve even been looking at the costumes for children – there are some fabulous options available including kids Santa costumes, Miss Santa’s, elves and even Santa’s Little Helper costumes. Jack is a big fan of dressing up – in fact, he has plenty more fancy dress costumes than me including a skeleton, Batman, Flash and Mr Bloom from CBeebies – and he would probably love to dress up as an elf or even Santa.
Do you love getting into the Christmas spirit and have you got much planned for the festive period? Are you panicking over a new party outfit or stressing over hosting a party yourself? Why not go for a fancy dress theme? Simple, stress free and a whole lot of fun. I know what I would prefer.
