Blog Tour & Review | One Christmas Star by Mandy Baggot

I was sent a copy of this book for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This post also contains affiliate links.

I am very happy to be on the blog tour for One Christmas Star today. Please do check out the other stops on the tour.

About The Book

Emily Parker is set to have the worst Christmas ever!

Her flatmate’s moved out, she’s closed her heart to love and she’s been put in charge of the school original Christmas show – with zero musical ability.

Disgraced superstar, Ray Stone is in desperate need of a quick PR turnaround. Waking up from a drunken stupor to a class of ten-year-olds snapping pics and Emily looking at him was not what he had in mind.

Ray needs Emily’s help to delete the photos, and she needs his with the show. As they learn to work together they may just open their hearts to more than a second chance…

My Review

Looking for a fun, festive read? This is the one for you. Whilst I found it slow building to begin with, this tale has everything you could want from a Christmas read. Fun flirty festivities; heartbreak and past trauma; lost love, budding relationships, heartwarming moments.

Emily is the Year 6 teacher, tasked with putting on the Christmas performance. Having to add in advertising for pupil’s parents aside, her life gets turned upside down when she meets Ray Stone. Trying to deal with the stress of the performance, her overbearing mother and her feelings, this is a heartfelt read.

I’d definitely recommend if you are looking for a festive but fun read.

  1. Interesting, Mandy Baggot has been recommended to me from different sources so maybe it’s time I finally get reading

  2. It’s been so long since I’ve sat down and read some good chick lit! One to add to the list when I’m closer to the Christmas count down!

    Kat x

  3. I love a light read like this from time to time, it’s pure escapism isn’t it? I usually choose far more serious/factual books, so this would make a nice change! 🙂 x

  4. Oh I love a little bit of romantic literature at any times! Sound like a good read for cosy winter evenings.

  5. I often see Mandy about as she lives not far from me – shall add this to my reading list

  6. I’ve not read a Christmas themed book before. I’m starting to branch out in different genres so I’ll have to try this!

  7. This sounds like the perfect festive read! I’ll be putting this on my Christmas stocking shopper list!
