The prompt for today is Gadgets. I decided, after much coercion (read: I had no choice!) from these two, that I should write an ode to my favourite gadget of all, my Kindle. Some might say that I love our iPad mini or the TV or even my phone just as much but my Kindle will always truly have my heart.
Kindle. It is true I have neglected you recently.
Please don’t take that to mean anything, I still love you.
Life has got in the way. I haven’t even picked up a physical book.
But still believe that my love is true.
You hold so many worlds
In which I can disappear
I don’t know what I’d do if you weren’t here.
Oh, Kindle – I love you that much is true.

Obviously this post is very tongue in cheek – we are a very techy family here and have lots of gadgets – Steve is also coveting a PS4 AND an Xbox One too! But my Kindle comes up top trumps every time just for convenience. What’s your favourite gadget?
I love my tablet. I never thought I'd go ga-ga for an e-reader, but I read so very much more now that I have a tablet and a kindle app!
I'd be lost without my Kindle but I also love my iPad too x

Ah, that's sweet! Speaking personally I don't own or am tempted to own a Kindle. I love the physical feel, smell, appearance of books & especially bookshops – I have been known go ga-ga in second-hand bookshops! But I do understand the emotion: these little things that quietly creep in and gradually become such a huge part of our lives, that we' be lost without them. May you wear it well (as we say over here)!
