Straying from the prompt today, I thought I would write a post that has been on my mind for a while and as a title in my draft posts for just as long. Grateful. No matter how tough life gets, there is always something to be grateful for, no matter how small. So what am I grateful for?
I am grateful for a fiance who loves me, despite our ups and downs. Who looks out for me when I don’t even realise. Who goes out to work for massive amounts of hours each week and doesn’t complain one bit.
I am grateful for a son who loves me, despite his temper tantrums over nothing in particular. I am grateful for a son who is generally quite good when compared to other children, even if he did just break my glasses. I am so grateful for having a son when some people can’t have children at all – I can’t imagine how hard that must be.
I am grateful for my family for always sticking by me, supporting me no matter what I do – even if they don’t necessarily think I am making the right decision. They taught me to learn from my mistakes and I sure as hell did.
I am grateful for the friends that stuck around after pregnancy and giving birth to Jack. Granted, that isn’t many of them and even now I don’t get to see them that often as some work long hours or have children of their own, however it doesn’t mean I appreciate them any less.
Finally, I am grateful for this blog here. If I had never started it, I wouldn’t have met some of my very best friends – and that seems like total and utter madness, really! I have a group of bloggers who live round my area and we are all such good friends – but if it wasn’t for blogging, we could pass each other in the street and never get to know each other…weird to think that!
What are you grateful for?

Many of us moan about we haven't got (me included), but what about what we do have? It's love to see what you are greatful for, we need to appreciate the little things in life and the big things like the support and love of our friends and family 🙂
Lovely post x
That's a great list of things to be grateful for! Polyanna would be proud 🙂
I agree with Melissa, I think we all get caught up on things we haven't got rather than what we do have. You wrote a great post, and hopefully it will help people think about what they are grateful for.
Another one who agrees with Melissa. I think it's a human tendency to bemoan our lives rather than be thankful or grateful for what we do have.
