Jack has been a superhero fan for as long as I can remember, getting the love of the comic book characters from his Dad. Neither he or his Dad have a preference between the two big superhero brands and he loves some from each – especially Batman!
We were recently offered the chance to review two toys from the DC Batman 3-in-1 Batcave Playset and the Launch and Defend Batmobile.
So what did we think?
With three different levels and two sides to explore (the Batcave and Gotham City), this playset truly can give kids hours of playtime fun! There are plenty of different areas and elements to check out such as the jail cell, the zip wire, the light-up computer (you will require AA batteries for this) and so much more! It also comes with an exclusive 4-inch Batman figure!
This set does take a little while to put together – with me and Jack working together, it took us around 45 minutes to put it together, complete with the pieces of cardboard and stickers too. The instruction booklet does make things a little tricky – it is simply illustrated without any worded instructions which makes it a little difficult sometimes to work out exactly what pieces you need. Once you have managed to put all of the plastic pieces together and have something resembling a playset, you’ll then need to add the extra cardboard pieces and pop the stickers on to make both sides really look the part.
I will admit that the cardboard is a bit flimsy and does fall out easily but thankfully you can play with the playset without them if needs be. I didn’t mind the stickers and popping them onto the playset to make it look the part but I know this might not be something others like.
The playset so far seems quite durable and has withstood extensive amounts of play from both Jack and Olivia. I can definitely see this being played with for many months to come and can see this being a popular gift for superhero fans this Christmas. The Launch and Defend Batmobile was a hit with the kids even before they got it out of the box. It comes with a Batman figure, the Batmobile and a remote control. You need to pop a couple of batteries into the remote control but the Batmobile itself is rechargeable and comes with a USB that fits any USB plug so you can charge it at any time! The USB is hidden in the underside of the car which is a wonderful idea!
The Batmobile really does look like the Batmobile we all know and love and the kids were soon playing with it as soon as it was all charged up and ready to go.
The Batmobile is sleek and the remote control is well designed with east to handle lever controls. You can move backwards, forwards, right or left and unlike some other remote controlled toys, you can easily manoeuvre around! If you want to launch Batman, make sure he is on his seat, clicked into place and then press the red button to launch him into the air!
The kids had great fun driving Batman around and launching him through the air and Daddy even had a go too! Buddy the dog even spent some time chasing it around (I think he thought it was a toy for him!).
The toy is very durable and good quality and I love that it is rechargeable – that gets major plus points from me. You can buy the Launch and Defend Batmobile on Amazon here for £29.99.

They would make great holiday gifts. My nephew loves superheroes. Batman is one of his favorites, he would enjoy both of these.

Both of these toys look awesome and I can see them both being a big hit this Christmas! The Batcave looks very impressive and I love all the little details on it, I find the cardboard bits always fall out on things like this so I something superglue them in place lol! The Batmobile looks amazing too and something I think both my son and husband would have fun zooming around the house lol!

Great review… No wonder they play with it a lot as I think all generations were brought up on Batman in one guise or another… Then when no-one is around an adult (probably male) will have a play too… ;0)
The play set looks like it would be loads of fun, although it’s a shame it was so tough to put together, at least it’s done now. You can’t beat a bit of Batman x
Such a lovely review, my son is a huge fan of Batman and I know for certain he would love to have the Batcave, I personally on the other hand love The Batmobile and would totally be playing with that. Glad to know they are rechargeable and durable as well.
