Autumn Picnic Spots with Vita Coco

We love nothing more in our household than going for picnics and our favourite picnic spot has to be the local park. We try to take advantage of it whilst the older children are in school as it means Jack gets more of a run of the place but we do still spend time there during the school holidays – it just means that the park is very busy!

It has been a bit tough to get out lately, not least because I’ve just had all four wisdom teeth out and am in a lot of pain. I’ve been spending the majority of the time leading up to the operation trying to sort things out so I can have some time to recover afterwards – it doesn’t seem to really be working!

So why do we love the park for picnicking? There is SO much to do! The common is just across the road but the park is perfect for the safety aspect when you have got a toddler. The adults can sit on the benches when the children go off to explore and you don’t have to worry about them getting out.

Whilst we could in the brief time last week when the sun was shining, we had a little picnic at the park – knowing we wouldn’t be able to do much this week after all! We were sent some fantastic Vita Coco treats to have with our picnic as well as some great activities – can’t beat a game of frisbee!

I hadn’t realised that Vita Coco actually did flavoured coconut water, I thought they simply did normal coconut water and that was that. These went down a treat with Jack and whilst neither mine or Steve’s cup of tea, I’m sure they will be making their way into our shopping trolley very soon!

Jack loves going for picnics and it is a shame that the cold days and nights are drawing in, making it almost impossible to have them. So I propose we have some indoor winter picnics instead to keep his love of picnics alive – and best of all, he can still have his favourite treats too!
