As I get older, I find myself thinking about my health a lot more. Maybe its because I now have children, maybe because I am rapidly approaching 40. I found myself in a shop the other day looking at different vitamins and supplements, confused about what I should be taking to help me stay as healthy as possible.
But it got me to thinking, just how much are we all looking after our health? Are we seeking help when we need it? Are we suffering from issues in silence when we could be getting help? The London Luton Clinic are a great service who can help if you are suffering from something but don’t know where to turn. They have an online doctor who can help get medicines delivered to your door. They also offer NHS services, private services and aesthetic services so your every need is catered for.

But how well are we looking after our health and what problems can we encounter?
Men’s Health
As men get older, they can get a myriad of problems occurring, many of which they are too scared or embarrassed to ask for help about such as erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation or hair loss. But these aren’t anything to be embarrassed by and it is important to speak to a professional in order to get better and feel better.
Men can contact the team at the London Luton Clinic for any of these problems and they’d be more than happy to help!
Women’s Health
Us women also come with our own myriad of problems but we also may require advice on topics such as weight loss or period delay. Weight loss can be extremely hard for some people and many women may find it difficult after having children or due to existing medical conditions. Some tend to just give up but there is help out there and I’d definitely recommend contacting someone for help.
Weight loss is certainly something I struggle with. After having Olivia, I lost nearly three stone and felt great. But during the lockdown, I put that weight back on (and more!) and I’ve since had two more children! I’ve lost around a stone of that gain but I definitely need to lose way more to feel comfortable.
Something I’ve yet to try is period delay as I have always been quite lucky to avoid special occasions during that time of the month or I’ve been using contraceptives that have completely stopped them. However it is easy to see why people choose to do so – I’m attending a wedding this weekend and the last thing I’d want is a visit from Aunt Flo! It is so good to be able to get medication to help you with this.
Children’s Health
I tend to visit the GP or contact a health visitor if I have any concerns with my children’s health and I must admit, I am much more proactive with managing their health than I am my own. I am quite lucky that none of them have any long term conditions and although we have had some scares in the past, they all seem in fine health.
For now, I am going to be looking into options to help me with weight loss – especially as my partner is losing loads after being put on a certain medication by the GP due to his diabetes. I don’t want to be left behind. I’ve also been suffering with some hair loss and have taken some advice from my hairdresser but will certainly be taking further advice from medical professionals if it continues.
How well are you looking after your health?
