We were recently sent some Appy Kids juices to review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
Jack loves juices but he is generally quite good at drinking most drinks, including water. However, like most kids, his head is easily turned by certain drinks, some that I am not always too keen on him drinking.
We were recently sent some pouches of juice from the Appy Kids Co – 2 boxes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles multifruit juice, 2 boxes of Dora & Friends mixed berries juice and 2 boxes of Paw Patrol apple juice. They also do Peppa Pig and Roald Dahl juice cartons and even mini fruit snacks but we didn’t receive these.
The pouches are 200ml and Vegetarian Society Vegan Approved. They are tasty low calorie juices with added vitamins packed in convenient pouches for easy drinking on-the-go, featuring your little ones’ favourite characters and are lower in sugar than the usual kids drinks you can buy.
What I love about the Appy Kids Co as a company is the fact that they are ethical. They work with better ingredient providers, using 1/3 of farms led by women. Their farmers have fair contracts and are given a guaranteed price per kg for season, They give free planting materials for farmers to multiply crop and also their packaging is earth friendly. It is predominantly made from a renewable raw material: paper board, which is also produced mainly using renewable energy.
But what did Jack think? First of all he loved how convenient they were – much easier for him to put one or two of these in my handbag or the changing bag than a big bulky bottle of juice. He, of course, loved the characters. He still adores Paw Patrol and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and used to be a big fan of Dora so was very excited to receive these.
He loves apple juice and mixed berry juice but this was his first experience of a multifruit juice and he absolutely loved it. In fact, he said the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle pouches were his favourite. I think it was the mixture of different flavours that he liked and the fact that he is a big Turtles fan as I mentioned before.
He has already been through a box of each flavour and has started on the other boxes of each. He is a big fan of them and I am too, knowing that they have less sugar and nasties than other juices do that are marketed to kids.
As we’ve found some kids drinks that we don’t mind giving them and that he enjoys, we will definitely be picking up some more. You can buy them in store at Tesco, Spar, Poundworld, B&M and other stores plus online at Ocado and Amazon, ranging from £12 upwards for a box of 40 {affiliate link}.
