A Sporting Widow

Is your partner a big fan of sports? Mine is – he gets it off his Dad. He’s not a big fan of many sports but those he is…well, you soon know about it! If the golf is on the TV, I can kiss goodbye to watching anything I want to. Golf takes precedence on the TV at all times when the big events are on – PGA Tour, Ryder Cup etc. He sometimes even gets really into the darts too!

Betfair very kindly sent me a pamper parcel for the next time the TV gets more attention than me. If the golf isn’t on the TV, Steve can often be found out on the course with his Dad, uncle or friends playing 18 holes too! Those eighteen holes can take a long time to play so sometimes it gets a little lonely and boring here – luckily this pamper parcel is just what the doctor ordered!

I suppose I’m lucky that Steve isn’t as big a sports fan as either his father or mine – they both watch pretty much every sport, I don’t think I could cope with that! Steve’s golf obsession is bad enough for me and although I try to be supportive, sometimes I just don’t get it sometimes! So whilst he is amusing himself watching a load of men hitting a ball into a hole, I can pamper myself with some luxurious food and some gorgeous treats.

Are you a sports widow at all?
