A Change Of Direction

Ooh, new shoes!
I seem to have fallen into a blogging funk recently. It isn’t too noticeable (got to love scheduled posts) but I couldn’t work out why I just wasn’t motivated anymore. Blogging is pretty much my only hobby – unless you also count entering competitions. After being at work all day and then looking after Jack when I get in, the last thing I want to do is leave my house – which is why blogging is perfect for me to just chill out.

Ever since I stopped doing Jack’s monthly posts when he turned 1, I have really missed them. It seems he has all but disappeared from my blog, except for a small mention here and there. The problem is, I find myself becoming more interested in reading parenting blogs and wanting to write more about my life as a parent myself. I haven’t got the time nor patience to start another blog, especially as I already collaborate on Hanging On Every Word and guest review over at My Keeper Shelf

I’m also not naive and know that some people may not want to read parenting posts and that is fine, you don’t have to read them if you don’t want to! I know that plenty of people reading are probably only interested in my beauty posts but I also know that there are other readers who purely started reading my blog for parenting and lifestyle posts and I don’t want to leave them out too.

I shall be including more parenting/mummy posts into my blog from now on – its something I want to do and feels right. I’ll also still be including beauty posts, recipes and the like too – hopefully there will be a little something for everyone.

  6. I'm not a parent, but I still find it interesting to read about others' experiences and if this is something you feel your blog needs, or that would make you happy, it's the right thing to do.
