Tracker On The Go Drinks

Hands up how many of us have heard of the Tracker bars? How many of us have tried them in the past? I remember eating them often when I was younger so when I was contacted to see if I wanted to trial their brand new range of drinks, I said yes knowing that they would be a nice treat for Jack.

We were sent four bottles – two of each flavour. These flavours were chocolate chip and golden syrup. I tried a little of each flavour before giving the rest to Steve and Jack for a taste test.

On first impressions, I thought that the chocolate chip would merely taste like a chocolate milkshake and that the golden syrup one would be a little too sickly – I wasn’t far wrong.

The Tracker On The Go drinks are a high source of protein and fibre and are much like a milkshake, having the same consistency and with the bottle design giving off the impression that they are too. I love the design, the animal print on the bottle instantly makes you realise that these drinks are part of the Tracker brand and all the information you need is quite clear on the bottle – brand name, flavour, what benefits it gives you, the fact that it is new.

Steve is a fan of most sweet drinks so it was no surprise that he liked both drinks, although he did also find the golden syrup one a little too sickly like me. The main taste tester was Jack – he is very quick to tell you whether he likes or dislikes something so we were interested to see how the drinks fared.

As we expected, the chocolate chip drink went down a treat – he is a big fan of chocolate flavoured products so it was no wonder this disappeared as quickly as it did. Knowing that Jack never seems to be phased by some products whereas we find them too sickly, we couldn’t wait to see how he felt about the golden syrup drink. His verdict? He liked it but he did take more time drinking that one – presumably because it was just too much to take in one hit.

Would we purchase these again? I couldn’t possibly say. They were a hit in our house and we would definitely be intrigued to see if they bring out some more flavours – but with so many other products out there, I wouldn’t commit to saying that I’d buy these all of the time. Perhaps as a special treat for Jack, yes.

Do you remember Tracker bars?
