The theme of this month’s box is BBQ & Garden Party. So what did we think?
Echo Falls Merlot – £2
This wine has a smooth mix of blackberry and plum with a hint of oak. I am not a fan of red wine so didn’t drink this but gave it to Steve and he enjoyed it.
Bull’s Eye NY Steakhouse BBQ Sauce – £2
We have tried this before and really enjoyed it! Steve and Jack were very happy to see it included. It has a blend of tangy tomato and bell pepper with a hint of chilli – it truly is so delicious!
VIP Nuts Hot Chilli – £1.50
These are a gourmet brand and were very much enjoyed by Steve. Although when they say that they are hot, they really aren’t lying!
LoveRaw Salted Caramel Cream Wafer Bar – £1.89
This was a little like a Kinder Bueno but not quite. I wasn’t the biggest fan unfortunately but I love that it has no palm oil and no artificial nonsense.
Free From Fellows Vegan Vanilla Mallows – £1.99
These are available in strawberry, vanilla and mini pink & white vanilla mallows. They are free from many different ingredients and are suitable for both vegans and vegetarians. I really didn’t like these as I felt they had a weird aftertaste but Olivia was a big fan!
Gunna Turtle Juice Tropical Lemonade – £1.10
Jack had this however I tried some and it was absolutely delicious! Turtle Juice is inspired by a mango daiquiri receipt that the team discovered in St Lucia but without the rum. It has plenty of flavour!
Eat Water Slim Noodles Pad Thai – £4.99
These are scientifically proven for weight loss and are made with simple quality ingredients. They are vegan with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and take just 1 1/2 minutes in the microwave. These particular ones were 208kcal per meal, were delicious and they filled me up too!
Carr’s Italian Herbs Flavour Melts – £1.69
These melts have a delicious flavour and melting texture. We enjoyed these with some cheese pots!
Geo Watkins Mushroom Ketchup – £2
This is completely vegan and is perfect for adding to pies, gravys and stews among other things. I have added to spaghetti bolognese after I have dished it out and I think it is absolutely delicious. It adds a real richness and depth to meals and I will certainly buy it again.
The Sweet Botanist Mindful Mint CBD Spearmint Sweets – £3.50
I am passing these along to a friend who enjoys plant based CBD sweets.
Pea Pops Cheddar & Onion – £1.85
These are delicious chickpea crisps and are made with 20% plant based protein, are gluten free, high in fibre, vegetarian and made from natural ingredients. Myself and the kids quickly ate these because they tasted so good!
SlooOW Crispy Rustic Rolls with Honey – £1.65
These are made with 100% natural and organic ingredients and taste great! I enjoyed these when the kids were at school so I didn’t have to share, haha!
