Week 65 and it has been a busy, busy week! How has your week been?
This week has seen news aplenty and I’ll be sharing some of that with you below.

I haven’t mentioned this for a while but the idea for this linky was originally suggested by the lovely Jenni from our hosting company, Lyrical Host. 1. How are you feeling/coping?
I am actually doing okay! Keeping myself busy although this week has felt incredibly long after my break away!
2. What have you been up to over the past 7 days?
What haven’t I been up to? We’ve been making plans for the week ahead and the future – we are going to be looking after Steve’s Dad’s dog for the foreseeable future as he had an accident last week and needs time to recover.
We have also done another murder mystery with MurderedForMoney and I guessed the killer correctly, yay! Would you like me to do a review of them? They are soon to be doing in person mysteries again and I will definitely be heading down to one with Steve when I get the opportunity.
Other than that I have been working a lot for my various virtual assistance clients, been doing some freelance writing for clients both directly and via my PeoplePerHour profile. I’ve also been reading quite a bit and actually caught up on some YouTube videos – I found myself watching a lot of Budget with A July Dreamer’s videos – her passion for budgeting and investing has really fired me up!
I also visited a local pub, The Hollybush in Redbourn, for dinner on Friday and it was lovely – I had chicken pesto pasta for my main and a Biscoff sundae for dessert before heading home to watch Emma’s webinar. I signed up for the membership and am going to see if I can achieve my goal of creating a profitable blog in 90 days – from scratch! It was lovely to see some familiar faces like Neesha and a few other people I know on the webinar and joining the private FB group for the membership!
Finally, we found out what class Olivia will be in Reception. It is bittersweet as she got the teacher we wanted (the teacher Jack had in Reception) but she is in a different class to quite a few of her friends. She does have a few of her friends in her Reception class and hopefully she will be able to make some new ones too!
Wow, I’ve rambled on a lot for this one, haven’t I? But as you can see, a busy week!
3. What is your favourite post of the past 7 days?
I haven’t written much in the last 7 days so won’t be sharing one of mine. I enjoyed reading this post from Charlotte about Penfold as a pension is something I really need to sort out.
4. Do you have any plans for lockdown easing?
Only my holiday booked in August.
5. What have you bought this week that others might like?
Some new trainers for Olivia – they have Peppa Pig AND unicorns! Also my membership to Emma’s new venture.
6. What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
Family!
7. What would you like the future to know about life during a pandemic?
That at times when even the people making the rules weren’t following them, some of us still had other people’s best interests at heart and did their best.

Nope, I think I covered it all in the second question, haha!

Here in California things have pretty much returned to normal. It’s been weird to see people out maskless and enjoying life again. Be warned, take advantage of the downtime now, I feel like things went from 0-60 in such a short amount of time!
Aww so glad Olivia got the teacher you wanted but a shame she won’t be in the same class as some of her friends. I am sure she will make loads of new ones though!
I love Lyrical Host, they are the best! I am so grateful for family this week too. I am kind of wondering if I should start planning for the summer now.
