Who loves an advent calendar? We do – and we especially love the different ones you can get now, both for adults and for children! We were asked if we would like to review the Magic Advent Calendar for ages 8+ and I knew Jack would love it – he really likes magic!

The calendar is for ages 8 and up and features 24 magic tricks, one for every single day. You just open the door for the relevant day and take out the item needed.
Not only that but it comes with an instruction booklet which features the trick for each day. You then practice it and can perform it on Christmas Day in front of your audience!

The calendar itself is a decent size with a variety of different sized doors, featuring different items to help the owner of the advent calendar achieve their magic tricks.

Jack had to open day 1 and see what was inside – and it was, of course, a wand! What else could it be? Every magician starts off with a good wand, right?

He then took a look in the first sealed compartment of the instruction booklet to see what the magic trick for day 1 was! Each day in the instruction booklet is sealed and you have to tear along the strip to open it and find out your instructions for the day!
Jack has been eagerly practicing this one and is looking forward to opening more days of it as December arrives – he wanted to keep some of the surprise for himself!

If you’re looking for a last minute advent calendar idea, you’d be hard pushed to find better than this Magic Advent Calendar. It is super affordable at just £19.99 and the items inside will last for a very long time. They have the excitement of seeing what item will arrive each day and also the fun of practicing each day’s magical trick before building up to a spectacular show.
I think this is such a wonderful idea for an advent calendar as it is fun, involves them practicing their skills and I believe it helps them build their confidence as they can prepare to show everyone what tricks they’ve learned once they have opened all the doors! (Of course, this is completely optional but I know Jack is keen to show us the tricks he had learned!).
It is such a fun calendar and I can see many kids enjoying it!
What advent calendars have you got this Christmas?

I love the idea of this one. So much choice in advent calendars out there. The only problem I have with them is the price, especially when you have more than one child.
This advent calendar sounds great! We tend to just get a chocolate one each year but I love the idea of something a bit different. My boys would love this!

No Advent Calendar/s this year. So used to it being mainly chocolate advent calendars which are available, variety nowadays :- Bliss!
Has often been the children who have been treated / gifted Advent Calendars, etc. To have Advent Calendars for all ages, life stages, a variety of Hobbies, etc :- Again Bliss! Perhaps in future we may have time, finances, opportunities, etc to access a variety, and be inclusive rather than limit Advent Calendars to children.
Thanks for the information, as we do have some interested in learning :- Magic Tricks.
Enjoy!
We have this advent calendar! My son really got me this morning with today’s trick. I can’t wait to see the magic show he is going to put on, on Christmas Eve
