If you are a parent of an under 10, then you are bound to know about slime and probably have your kids begging for it all the time. My kids love slime but we do restrict the amount that comes into the house as my kids aren’t exactly the most careful of people and with a pup, we have to be careful!
However when offered the chance to review the So Slime Tie & Dye Washing Machine from Canal Toys, my kids were super excited. Slime but making it colourful? They couldn’t wait to get started!

Retailing at £17.99, the So Slime Tie & Dye is Canal Toys first venture into the slime market. A concept inspired by tie & dye fashionwear, it is little wonder this set has already gained some popularity. The new range includes this fab deluxe spinning washing machine, medium kit and single pack so you can create colourful scented slime designs.

The set comes with the washing machine, a drying rack, ready made clear slime, colourants, stickers for the machine and gloves.

Stretch out your clear slime and then pop it into the washing machine, add the scented colourants, shut the door and away we go. You can watch eagerly as the slime and the colourants to mix to make the slime change colour. The kids loved this part as it was so exciting to see the slime change to exactly how they wanted it.
Once the time is up, you pour the slime into the basket and hang out to dry! The kids had so much fun doing this and watching their colourful creations come to fruition. You do have to be careful with how much colourant you actually use – Olivia’s came out more tie dye than Jack’s did as he used more colourant and it came up a more solid colour. Something worth noting.

If your kids love slime and trying something new, then this could definitely be the set for them. My children loved doing it and making new colour combinations each time. We’re going to get some more clear slime and more colourants so they can continue to enjoy this set for a long time. I’ve just got to find somewhere to source it!
The set requires 3xAA batteries and I would suggest adult supervision is required due to the colourants especially – Jack managed to spill some on the floor but this was quickly sorted with a little bit of stain remover.

This new foray into the slime market from Canal Toys definitely seems to be a successful one! This would make a wonderful birthday or Christmas gift and as you can see, the kids are super happy with their creations! You can buy this set at Smyths, at Argos or on Amazon {affiliate link}.
Do you know someone who’d love this?

I’ve never heard of this! It looks like a lot of fun for kids and even adults. 😉
What great photos! This looks fab to play with! My daughter loves slime too!
This is so cute it looks like so much fun
Is it ok for me to buy this for myself? Haha, I love the tie dye trend (and remember is the last time it came around) so love that it’s hit the slime market – the little washing machine is adorable!
I like the idea of the tie dye washing machine and make nice slime color creations. My grandson hasn’t learned to appreciate slime yet, but when he finally does, I will be more than happy to get him this toy.
THis looks super fun. I remember trying and failing to make tie dye t shirts as a kid.
We’ve picked this up for Lessie for her birthday. It looks fantastic!!! I know she will love it
I’ve never heard of this but it does look like good fun. Play dough used to be my favourite
