I love writing bookish content – you should know that by now – so when I saw Emma from Adventures of a London Kiwi had written this post, I just knew I had to take part. Like Emma, I am also one of the biggest bookworms I know and it drives Steve crazy. However I hope my recommendations help you to find a book you’d like to read. This guide to the ten books everyone should read before they die should definitely be checked out too!
Author you’ve read the most books from:
It has to be Agatha Christie. I have an extensive collection although I haven’t yet collected all of them nor have I read through all of them. As well as her mystery novels, I also have the novels she wrote under her nom de plume, Mary Westmacott.
Best Sequel Ever:
Now this is a tough one! I think I’m going to say Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban as it is a great sequel to the worst book in the entire series.
Currently Reading:
I am reading the latest book in the Cherringham series, Murder Under The Sun. It is a series I really enjoy and I’ve read so many of them now, I’m catching up with the amount of books I have read by Agatha Christie.
Drink of Choice While Reading:
I love a flavoured gin and lemonade!
E-reader or Physical Book?
I like both! I do love the feel of a book in my hands but nothing can also beat the convenience of being able to read anywhere at anytime with an e-reader.
Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:
I actually don’t know! I can’t think of a character I really liked in this way!
Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:
This Is Going To Hurt by Adam Kay. So many raved about it but I also saw people slating it so I am glad I took a chance on it.
Hidden Gem Book:
The Bad Place by M.K Hill. I discovered the book quite by accident and it was amazing!
Important Moment in your Reading Life:
I have to agree with Emma and say that getting my very first library card was a big turning point.
Just Finished:
I have just finished The Keeper by Diane Saxon and it was fantastic!
Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:
Westerns, Mills and Boon style romances. Those kind of things.
Longest Book You’ve Read:
I don’t actually know. Probably the largest book in the Harry Potter series.
Major book hangover because of:
The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley. I couldn’t wait to read her new one but had many, many months to wait!
Number of Bookcases You Own:
Currently just the one – I’m currently utilising built in shelves!
One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:
I’ve mentioned this book already but it has to be Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban – my favourite book of the series!
Preferred Place To Read:
On the sofa under a blanket with a flavoured gin and lemonade to hand or in bed under the covers.
Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:

Reading Regret:
Making myself finish books that I just don’t like. There isn’t enough time in the day to be reading books you don’t like.
Series You Started and Need to Finish (all books are out in series):
The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas. I loved the first two books, bought a few more, got into a reading slump and haven’t got back into it!
Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:
Oh wow, now this is a difficult question. Prisoner of Azkaban definitely needs to be in there as does Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. I’d probably choose Cat Among The Pigeons by Agatha Christie as my 3rd choice.

Very Excited for This Release More Than All the Others:
I am actually very intrigued and excited about The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman – yes, the tall guy from Pointless. It sounds like a really good book!

Turning page corners over to mark my spot if I can’t find a bookmark…oops!

Something For The Weekend by Terry Wogan! I am going to have to read this soon. It is a collection of his columns and sounds really interesting.

The Stepsister by Jenny O’Brien on Kindle…it sounds like a gripping read.

I think it has to be The Bad Place by M.K Hill again – I just couldn’t stop reading!

Have you ever read Mills and Boon? I remember the early teenage years when me and my friends thought we were so grown up reading those crazy books!!! And yes, I wouldn’t read them now either!!!
I’ve only just started reading Throne of Glass but really excited to read the next in the series as really liking it so far!
I look to read but I wouldn’t say I am a bookie, as I couldn’t answer most of these questions as I just read and then move on. I read about a book a week and can hardly even remember the title of the last book I read! lol Mich x

I switched to a Kindle at Christmas and I have to say that it has allowed me to read far more than I did. So easy to pop in my bag to enjoy whilst I’m at the children’s swimming lessons etc.
I love reading Agatha Christie books and have started reading the Harry Potter Series with my kids. I find I am old school when it comes to books and like the traditional paperback but have been thinking about getting a kindle recently.
I LOVE book related posts! Agatha Christie… Wow I’ve never read a single book, so I will definitely be adding those to my list. You can beat POA when it comes to HP books, it’s a great one although!

This is a great A-Z I have to admit that whilst once I get into a book I love reading I find it hard to get started and therefore don’t read as much as I would like to! I must try to find a few good books to get stuck into especially as we are in isolation for at least a few more weeks!
