I thought it would be nice to check back in with my 2017 goals and see how I have been doing so far. I know that I haven’t even started some but hopefully that all can change by the end of the year! So just how am I doing?
BLOGGING GOALS
- To find a better balance – I’m slowly getting there. Starting to make myself have some time off.
- Relaunch Keene On Saving – This has sort of happened – not as much as I would have liked though.
- Guest post on 5-10 blogs in 2017 – This hasn’t happened at all.
- Stick to my guns – I’ve been quite good at this and am already having a much more successful year than I did last year by this time.
- Build up on my Youtube and Instagram – I haven’t really touched my YouTube but my Instagram is growing nicely.
- Complete some blogging/money/organisation related e-courses or projects, free or paid for – I haven’t paid for any yet but I have completed a few free ones.
FREELANCING GOALS
- Get some more long term clients – I managed to pick up a new long term client in February so I’m very happy with that!
- Get back to using my work website – Whoops, I have’t touched it yet!
- Finally get a staff writing job for another blog – This hasn’t happened yet but I’m keeping my eyes out.
HEALTH & FITNESS
- Lose the baby weight – This hasn’t really worked so far yet, whoops. Birthdays, Valentines Day, Mother’s Day, Easter…never was gonna work was it?
- Get back into exercising – I am walking loads but that’s about it so far!
PERSONAL
- Enter more writing competitions – I haven’t entered any yet!
- Complete my GoodReads challenge – I’ve read half a book since January. A little baby, a five year old and working from home doesn’t leave much time for reading.
FINANCIAL
- Get debt free or as close to debt free as possible – This is going really well – I’m managing to get things down quite quickly.
- Increase my income – I’ve definitely been managing this, so so happy!
- Minimalise my belongings and sell what we don’t require – I’ve currently got 16 bags full of baby clothes and kids clothes in the car to go to the charity shop, have sent off some old CD’s and DVD’s to Music Magpie, have numerous items up on the local selling sites and am about to start on my own bedroom. Definitely ticking this one off the list.
Did you make any goals for 2017? How are you doing so far?

I love reading how people are getting on with their goals. Good luck with them all for the rest of the year.
I’ve been setting myself monthly goals which makes them nice, manageable chunks and so far I’m keeping up to them.
Yay! I love to check in with my goals too, and I’m also trying to minimise my belongings! My other big goals this year are to overcome my social anxiety, grow my business and go on a solo backpacking adventure! 🙂 xxx
I have really made any headway in terms of my yearly goals yet… Planning to change that soon enough 🙂
This is such a good idea to write everything down – I should do that too, as it would give me that extra push hopefully! Hope you manage it all xx
I have goals and achieved some such as start earning from my site and learn to say no a bit more.
It really is great to see how we are doing with our goals. Helps us figure out what we need to work on more. Making goals is always a great thing to do.
