My Pregnancy Diaries

Yep, week 20 of my pregnancy diaries. We are halfway there – and it’s going SO quickly! I can’t quite believe how quickly it IS going. Not much has happened this week, except you know..our 20 week scan!

The sonographer did all the checks as she normally would at a 20 week scan – the more in depth checks to make sure the babies organs and everything are developing properly. Our graph shows that the baby seems to be growing at the expected rate and according to the graphs, doesn’t look SGA so that’s something! Of course this will be revisited and discussed at my future scans and consultant appointments.

When she asked us if we wanted to know, we were so excited and said yes. I had an inkling of what she was going to say from what I had seen or hadn’t seen whilst she was doing all of her checks. Jack was fascinated (he came with us to see the baby for the first time) and she did some double checks before telling us she’s pretty sure (although they will never say 100%) that we are having….

A GIRL!

As you know, I’ve been saying for a while that I had a gut feeling it was a girl! We rang our parents as soon as we got out after picking up a scan picture and then we each told a few friends. If you’re on my personal Facebook or Instagram or in certain pregnancy blogger FB groups I’m in, you would have already known this but…eek! I’m so excited. So many outfits to look at now! Although this does mean decluttering a lot of Jack’s boy stuff – we’ll keep some bits though!

I also had these turn up today, they’re a prize win that came all the way from the US and how cute are they? Can’t wait to see baby girl rocking them!
