I love the summer but there is something about autumn and winter that I just adore. Not only do we have so many family things going on during this season but we also see the return of some great quality TV – what’s not to love?
I thought that since summer will soon be drawing to a close, I would share the things I am most looking forward to this winter – let me know if you feel the same way.
Hot chocolate with whipped cream & marshmellows
Cliche I know but who doesn’t love a hot chocolate or ten during the winter months? We always get a few different flavoured hot chocolates in the house for when the mood takes us.
Great quality TV
I know I’ve already mentioned it but so many amazing TV shows come back in the winter months as they know people will be at home to watch them. We are currently trying to clear our DVR so we have space to watch and record all the things we will want to – our DVR gets jam packed every winter!
Wanting to stay in
In the summer we all always want to go out but I love nothing more than staying in during the winter, only leaving the house if I absolutely have to. With good TV watch, good books to read and online bingo to play with, there’s no real need to go outside is there?
Bonfire Night
We love Bonfire Night in our village – we have a beautiful fireworks display, a fair run by my friends family and local pubs selling some great quality food. Its something we always love to attend and this year will be no different.
Jack’s birthday & Christmas
Both of these fall in December which makes it a very busy month for us. We love being busy though and I can’t wait to see my little boys face both mornings when he gets to open his presents. Nothing beats it. Can you believe he is 5?
Finally…
It may not be until next year but I am of course having another winter baby and I can’t wait to meet him or her. We should hopefully be finding out next week so I can start getting some cute winter outfits ready!
