5 unique and fun gift ideas for your loved ones

Let’s be honest, it’s very easy to run out of ideas for gift giving. Whether it’s another birthday, a special event or Christmas, you search for gifts your loved ones want and will love but it gets harder with every occasion.

While you could always go straight to the source and ask them, keeping it a surprise adds a nice touch. With that in mind, we have you covered with some fun gift ideas they will love!

1.  Money boxes

I’m not talking about the old-fashioned piggy banks designed for kids, but rather beautiful, modern money boxes. This might seem like an out-of-the-box present, but money boxes are a great way to help your loved ones save up for things they want.

For your adventurous loved ones, you can get money boxes with landscape and world map backgrounds to motivate them to put aside their spare change for exciting, fun travel adventures around the world. If your loved one has recently become engaged, invest in a double money box to help them save for both their wedding and honeymoon.

 2. Board games or a card and dice set

If your parent, sibling or bestie love a good games night, then the latest board game is always a great gift. Keep an eye out for new games, or opt for one that they’ve spoken about before. You can always go for an add-on for a game they already love.

However, if it seems like they have every card, board and video game in the world, you can’t go wrong with a card and dice set.

These are spare decks and dice they can have on hand, just in case they lose any of their main sets. Some sets even come with a book that provides instructions on how to play a variety of traditional card and dice games that they may not have even heard of, which will make their next game’s night even more fun.

3. Food makers

Is your loved one known for whipping up a feast? Whether they’re a desert connoisseur or the resident BBQ expert, you can’t go wrong with a cooking-inspired gift.

A food maker is the perfect gift for the home chef who appears to have everything. Not all food makers are expensive, especially those that can make snacks or light beverages.

If your parents enjoy family movie nights, they’ll love getting a popcorn maker. They won’t have to put a tiny bag in the microwave for a few minutes anymore and hope for the best. With a popcorn maker, they can put the kernels in the maker, turn it on, and wait for the magic to happen.

If your bestie loves something sweet and cool to drink during the summer months, they’ll appreciate a milkshake maker. These usually come with a variety of mixing and speed settings, so they can easily make as many smooth and creamy milkshakes as they wish.

4. Coasters

Coasters may not sound like a unique or fun gift idea, but as we all drink out of mugs and glasses every day and none of us want water stains on our tables, they’ll definitely be appreciated by your loved one. Choose from themed sets, patterned prints or even a set with works of art or photos you choose printed on it. You can pick a set to match the existing colours anddécor in their home, or opt for something unique or bold that will act as the perfect conversation starter at their next get-together.

Coasters can also be used to test how well a colour or pattern can work with existing décor. If your loved one is thinking about painting their walls a new colour or putting up new wallpaper, you can buy them coasters to hold up against the wall to test it out before they fork out renovation money.

Most coasters come with separate, matching sets of placemats. If your loved one loves their new coasters, you can always get them the matching placemats as a gift for the next special occasion.

5. Coffee and tea organisers

If your loved one is a coffee fiend, but their pods, sugars and spoons are everywhere, they’ll love a coffee organiser.

A coffee organiser can help them keep their crucial coffee ingredients and accessories in one place, so they can easily get their caffeine fix and keep their kitchen tidy. Some coffee organisers come with multiple compartments to house cups, spoons or stirrers, coffee pods or sachets, and even napkins.

If your loved ones prefer tea, get them a tea rack instead that can either house multiple boxes or several bags of the various teas they love to drink.

With these fun and unique gifts, you’ll definitely make the next special occasion for your loved one memorable.
