This month I have to update you on two months as I completely failed to get a goals post up last month – oops! So here is my recap of my February goals (let’s see if I managed them through March too!) and my April goals.
RECAP
BLOGGING GOALS
- Write at least two guest posts – This was a total fail for both February and March. Oops
- Get scheduled two weeks in advance (apart from time sensitive content) – This totally didn’t happen.
FREELANCING GOALS
- Update my work website more regularly – This (sort of) happened. I added a blog post or two, updated my theme, updated my pages and even got an approach from it.
- Search out some more long term clients – Yes! This happened.
PERSONAL GOALS
- Enter at least three writing competitions – Nope. Nope. Nope. Don’t ask.
- Read at least 15 books – For the month, no. For two months, no. Since 1st of January, yes.
- Check over my half finished NaNoWriMo draft from November and try and add some more each weekend – Nope, nada added.
FINANCIAL GOALS
- Hustle for more work – Always.
- Declutter some more – Started to do this, need to carry on.
- Add at least £100 to my savings account – No, although I have paid off a lot of things!
HEALTH & FITNESS GOALS
- Exercise more – and try to diversify my exercise routine more this month. – I haven’t really diversified but I have been carrying on with walking and exercise bike and did the 3 miles for Sport Relief.
- Lose 0.5lb to 1lb a week at least. – I’ve managed this most weeks!
- Walk even more – I am trying. I’m taking a little longer to go home after dropping Jack off or leaving the house a little earlier when going to pick Jack up in order to get more walking in.
So what are my April goals?

What are your April goals? Let me know in the comments below!

I love your blogging goals – I am RIGHT THERE! I haven’t written enough for other people, I have certain standing “contracts” to write original content for certain blogs but other than that I just haven’t done anything! I love your April goals – they are inspiring mine 🙂 H x
Yay, thanks so much Harriet!
You April goals for blogging are so similar to mine! Especially getting scheduled in advance, I really need to get on top of that as I know it will help so much but I still find myself typing like crazy on post day 🙂 Good luck! x
I find myself doing the same! Thanks 🙂
I have set myself the goal of scheduling posts 2 weeks in advance as well, but that just isn’t going very well.
Its so tough, isn’t it?
Great to have goals but totally not enough hours in the day! I haven’t made any goals but my mail one for the moment is to –
Write 1 blog posts a day (so far so good)
😀
Ooh well done!
My April goals would be to be more prepared with my blogging with having batches of blog photos done and posts scheduled. And to push my fitness levels back up and do more gym classes. Good luck with your month x
Thanks Rhian! Good luck also x
This has reminded me to take a look back and update my goals for the year. I like how you have split yours into different categories.
Thanks Sally!
Good luck – you can do it, you are doing well, yes you didn’t get everything done but you have done so much! x
Thanks lovely lady!
Good luck with your goals! Mine this month is to improve the quality of my photos and content on my blog 🙂
Thanks Shannon & good luck with your own!
i think this isa great idea and its great to have aims , bet of luck x
Thanks Lisa x
I have a tip for helping you achieve your goals. Drill down and be even more specific and make the list manageable. For instance, instead of updating website you could pick exactly what you will update. Or instead of save money, pick a specific number. That way, even if it’s just £20 you’ll feel like you’ve achieved something. 🙂
Ooh thats a good idea, thanks Elizabeth!
wow well done in writing your list, that’s a great start as it’s still early on in the month.
Thanks Mel!
You achieved a lot in March and I’m particularly impressed with your weight loss diary! I didn’t know you were participating in NaNoWriMo. How is that going for you? I’ve always wanted to do it but never make the time >.<
Thanks Laura <3
I have about 15k written, still a long way to go!
You had a few really difficult goals! I don’t think I’d be able to schedule all of my posts two weeks in advance.
I haven’t haha. I think its one of my more ambitious goals!
Lovely goals. I hope you strike off every one of them x
Thanks hun!
Such a great idea to have goals like this even though they might not always pan out. Something to work towards. Good luck with this month!
Thanks Elizabeth!
There is no need to worry hun it happens to the best of us. I hope things improve this month xx
Thanks Ana x
Good luck on your goals. I try not to set myself goals really as I tend to stress myself out if I do. I Write as of when and are happy with that. 🙂
Thank you x
Great list of goals for April – I think you did a fab for February and March too! I plan every month to set goals and fail before I start! Kaz x
Thanks Kaz x
Such a good idea to set yourself goals. I don’t do this but I might start to!
Definitely do!
