Ecoegg Laundry Egg Review – QVC Special Item Today Only!

How many of you have heard of Ecoegg before? I had and I have always been intrigued by the concept. They originally began as an alternative to the regular laundry detergents which are often packed with harsh chemicals. The first product they introduced was the Laundry Egg which contains two types of pellets (mineral and tourmaline). These work together to provide powerful cleaning results. Since then, Ecoegg have grown and now have around 20 environmentally friendly household products. They have also recently won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation.

We were recently sent a kit – the same kit that is the TSV item over on QVC – TODAY! This QVC exclusive kit is being sold at a special price for just 24 hours – you can take a look and buy it here.

This kit lasts for up to an incredible 864 washes – for families washing 4 loads a week, that’s about 4 years’ worth – at a cost of just over 2p per wash! With a child about to go into full time school who loves playing in the mud and sandpit at school, a partner who works odd shifts and often does 7 shifts in a row with just three work shirts in rotation and with a new baby on the way, this is definitely a kit that I need – I feel like I am always washing!

We were sent the limited edition fragrance of British Blooms laundry egg with white egg, a double size stain remover, an Ultimate Detox tablet and 2 Laundry Egg cup holders with counter.

So how have we got on so far? Well as you can imagine with so much washing going on, it can get quite expensive buying laundry liquid all the time so I was eager to get using it as soon as possible. I haven’t yet got round to trying the stain remover as miraculously for once, no one has managed to stain their clothing – first time for everything, I suppose!

We’ve been using this in every wash since and have been really impressed with the results so far – our clothes are coming out clean, smelling fresh and with no residue. The egg is incredibly space saving too – all of my laundry liquids take up quite some space in one of my kitchen cupboards but I only need to place the stain remover in now as my egg is suctioned to the washing machine itself in the egg cup holder – I love being able to save space so this is yet another plus point for me.

I’ve found this to be just as effective as the other products I use and they also don’t irritate Steve’s or Jack’s sensitive skin which is great – I’ve had to do a lot of switching around previously to find laundry products that were actually suitable for them. I’m chuffed with this and this is already proving to be a very handy addition to my home. Why not snap one up now?
