What Makes A Healthy Desk Lunch?

Working from home means I can grab food at any time. This can be quite dangerous for me as it is so easy to pick up the bad things rather than the healthier options. But what makes a healthy desk lunch? I tend to eat my lunch in the same room as my desk (my office is in the corner of my dining room) and I have plenty of friends who sit at a desk all day and struggle to eat healthily as the temptation to eat badly is always there.

Furniture Work have recently released the Healthy Desk Lunch eBook and it is packed full with great lunch ideas – its definitely something I will be showing my friends who struggle to eat healthily at work. The eBook caters to different tastes and allergies with a gluten free section and a vegan section – this is great as sometimes choices can be limited and this will damage motivation. I also love that the recipes are by other bloggers so if I find a recipe I like, I can then visit their blog to see more of their yummy concoctions.

My current favourite healthy desk lunch is a good old chicken salad, occasionally with a small dash of fruit vinegar. It’s healthy, its delicious and I could eat it over and over again. That or pasta have been my recent go to lunches whereas before I would often grab a bap from the sandwich shop, a microwave burger or just eat chocolate or sweets rather than a proper lunch.

I’m definitely going to be trying out some of the recipes from the eBook, its always handy to have new recipe inspiration. I’m looking forward to the seafood options in particular – they both look and sound delicious.
