You may recall that last week I mentioned I had been sent a wedding planner to review. It is no secret that I have been wanting a wedding planner since before I even started this series, heck I even posted a wedding planner wishlist. I was recently very lucky to be given the opportunity to review one – and the best thing is it is one that actually features on my wishlist!
The wedding planner itself came packaged in this beautiful black box – I struggled to take a picture of it due to my obvious reflection – however, it is absolutely gorgeous. The planner itself was wrapped well inside in order to prevent any damage.
The look of the wedding planner itself is really pretty, it is a mixture of colours – I’d say beige/cream/gold and feels really luxurious. All too many other planners feel like the kind of tat that you would just throw to one side until you needed it again but this really feels like it should be looked after, cherished. Obviously, it is destined to take a bit of a battering when carried round day in, day out in case inspiration should strike but with the right care and attention, who is to say it can’t stay in almost perfect condition?
The quality of the pages is amazing, I really cannot fault it.
I love the fact that there are different sections for different things and plenty of space to write – Getting Started as a heading holds a variety of different topics within which also leave plenty of white space in which to scribble down any notes. This planner also comes with little envelope style pages in all of the sections, where you can place business cards, tasting menus or anything else you pick up along the way.
One of my favourite sections is Starting A Gift List – both myself and Steve don’t really think we will be starting a gift registry as we’ve been living together for almost 4 years now and have pretty much everything we need; if people want to give us anything, we’d be happy with money and giftcards – however, for those couples starting out married life in a new home together, this section could be invaluable to them – you can write down which department store, who you deal with there – it really is incredibly well organised.
They even hold a slot for their Wedding Sticky Notes which I have been debating purchasing as who doesn’t love a sticky note or two? The fact they have a month by month calendar really appeals to me too. It may seem that everything I’m talking about is common sense and should be featured in every wedding planner – however, believe me, that is far from the case!

I have this wedding planner, I didn't use it much though, I think its more handy if your planning a big wedding over here, but I do love how helpful it was for budgeting.
My wedding was only pretty small so I didn't use a planner – I did write things out in a notebook though! Somehow I didn't forget anything and everything was sorted at least a month before the day!
