Vision Direct | A Pug’s Christmas

Each year we see different brands fighting it out over the Christmas adverts. Each year something comes out ‘on top’ but we all have our own specific favourites, don’t we? Despite Mog The Cat and Man On The Moon gaining so much attention this year, I can’t help but love Gizmo, the short sighted pug in an advert from Vision Direct. Pugs are one of my favourite dog breeds so I was always going to have a soft spot for this advert. I particularly love the Behind The Scenes video, shown from Gizmo’s perspective with an interview with Gizmo himself!

 

I love the interview, so funny! Gizmo certainly seems like a bit of a diva, doesn’t he? I loved the line ‘I was born to play a pug in glasses’. Absolutely brilliant – behind the scenes videos like this are great!

Sweet, right? Gizmo has been struggling with his glasses as we see in the advert and this leads to him being bought some contact lenses with a tagline letting people know that customers can order contact lenses right up until the 21st of December and have them delivered in time for Christmas. If you didn’t know, Vision Direct are Europe’s largest online retailer for contact lenses.

I myself wear glasses and contact lenses is something I have considered in the past. I don’t currently use them but I know plenty of people who do and are probably panicking that they are going to run out over the Christmas season – at least I can let them know where they can order from now.

This advert from Vision Direct certainly makes it to the top of my list for 2015’s Christmas adverts! What tops your list?
