The Best Handmade Wooden Toys For Easter

Collaborative Post

With Easter quickly approaching, you are probably thinking about the gifts you will be buying for family and friends. The most common gifts, of course, are Easter eggs and I bet those in your family will have so many of those to work their way through. However there are other gifts you can give during this important time such as classic Easter Bunny figurines or an egg decoration kit.

The Easter holiday weekend from the 15th of April (Good Friday) to the 18th of April (Easter Monday) is not too far away so here’s some alternative gift ideas to chocolate.

What Alternative Easter Gifts Are There?

There are many alternatives to the popular chocolate Easter egg. There are some fabulous egg themed gifts out there including egg games, egg decoration kits and much more.

Another popular gift at this time of year is stationery – crayons and colouring books, stampers and stickers. Children love these! I always like to buy themed books for different events too – the kids have a few Easter books as well as some other events throughout the year. You can usually pick up Easter themed books from charity shops closer to the time or from bargain book shops – I usually do!

There are so many different gifts you can buy your loved ones at this time of year. Many are egg or bunny themed which my children love. I even like to buy the adults some alternative gifts sometimes too!

Why Choose Easter Themed Figurines & Ornaments?

Many people choose to give items like these as something that can stand the test of time. Easter eggs can be eaten so quickly and there is nothing to show for it! Wooden figurines are a perfect gift as they will last forever and can be passed down from family member to family member.

Whilst looking for some alternative Easter gifts, I found these beautiful handmade wooden toys from Erzgebirge. The wooden crafts are handcrafted by artists and toymakers in Germany. They are super cute and are very affordable too. As well as offering Easter themed ornaments, they also sell Christmas themed ornaments too.

If you have a child like mine who loves figurines, then they may really appreciate a gift such as this. Jack loves having items on display – he has numerous Lego creations and ornaments out. Olivia loves figures and always has a few adorning her shelves. They both take after me with this – I loved picking up figurines from shops when I was little and adding them to my extensive collection. These would be a great addition to my collection!

They really do offer the best handmade wooden toys out there and I am certainly going to be picking up some for our ornament collection. They are of the highest quality and really affordable too!

Do you ever buy alternative gifts for Easter or do you stick to the usual gift of chocolate for your family and friends? If you buy alternative gifts, what do you tend to buy for your loved ones?
