10 year old boys. They are notoriously hard to buy for. Escape From The Aquarium
I know that when Jack turned 10, an escape room opened near us and he was obsessed with the thought of visiting! He has tried a few different escape room games in the past so this one, designed with 8 to 12 year olds in mind, seemed like the perfect choice for him.
There are eleven fun challenges and you have to put your thinking cap on to reverse the spell and stop being a fish! This is suitable for 1 to 6 players.

I mentioned 10 years of age being that tricky age in between younger childhood and teenage years. I found that Jack started asking for less toys and more items for his room such as pictures, ornaments and technology.
He loves all things like this so this sandscape seemed like the perfect choice. You can create your own unique sand sculpture with the sand. You can change it over and over again, whenever suits you and it makes the perfect addition to any room and is a great talking point.
We are just in the process of decorating his room and putting new shelves up and I just know that this will have pride of place!
