As a mother to a growing child, this advert both amuses me and informs me about various products around right now. Having breastfed Jack pretty much exclusively for five months (apart from when I was ill), I found he was still hungry so I started weaning him onto solids and started him on some Cow and Gate formula milk. This was the best decision I ever made; it was definitely right for him and me as we were both becoming increasingly unhappy. Cow and Gate helped me out a time of need and I’m incredibly grateful.
Happy Mothers Day, everyone! Hope all you yummy mummies got amazing gifts this year! For my first Mothers Day, I was really spoilt, as you can see from the picture above. TWO teddies, a photo frame, a mug, a keyring, a plaque and some cake and chocolate too!
If you’re a mum, what did you receive today? If you’re not, what lovely things did you get for your mum?
Being a mummy is far from easy. The late nights, the early mornings, the growth spurts and constant feeding, the screams, the cries, the really bad nappies.
But it is so worth it. For the smiles, the giggles, the laughs, the opportunity to make so many memories with this gorgeous little bundle that you can call your own.
I never realised just how tough motherhood was going to be, and I definitely have a profound respect for women like Emma Louise who are bringing up their beautiful children single handedly.
But I wouldn’t change it for the world and I’m enjoying every second – I don’t know how I’m going to cope when I finish my maternity leave and have to go back to work. If I could possibly afford to be a stay at home mum, I’d love to, I just don’t think it’ll be possible.
I would never have thought I’d have had a baby by the time I was 22, but things happen for a reason and I’m so glad it has.
