Socialising At Home: Online Bingo

Working from home when my friends all work 40+ hour weeks has its drawbacks. I tend to want my evenings to relax and chill out after a day of juggling work and childcare simultaneously. I even sometimes work during the evenings as well which leaves me little time for socialising. Whilst my work may be different to theirs, some of my friends don’t quite seem to understand that I often don’t have the time, energy or money to go with them of an evening – let alone a babysitter! I’m finding myself left out of more and more social situations and whilst I know I am partly to blame for this as I always say no, it hurts a little nonetheless – it isn’t because I don’t want to, it is often because I can’t. Nights out have to be planned way in advance for me to able to go – when you have a child and have deadlines for work, you need time to rejig things around.

I have found myself looking for more fun things to do whilst at home and Jack’s gone to bed. It can be quite lonely here when Steve is on nights and Jack’s asleep because there is no one to talk to. You will often find me calling my Mum for a chat or on Facebook or Twitter for a good old catch up. Another thing I often find myself doing is playing bingo games with Costa Bingo. I like playing bingo as I have mentioned before – not only do you get the great buzz of potentially winning something but there is also a social element – something I know most people are not aware of. Like minded people gather to have a go on the bingo whilst also having a laugh along the way.

It doesn’t surprise me that online bingo is so popular nowadays – there are plenty of articles which tell all about the UK’s obsession with the social element and I can totally see why people find it enjoyable – it definitely makes me feel better to go online and have a laugh every now and again – and who can deny that winning the big prize wouldn’t be great too. Next time I’m left out of yet another social event, I know where I’ll be.
