Everyone gets a bit busy now and then. Maybe you’ve picked up a few more hours at work, or you’ve just recently gotten a new puppy, or you’re moving house and fixing it up at the same time – or maybe it’s all of these things combined!
You want to meet a friend for a coffee, but you’re too busy. You want to go to the gym more often, but you’re too busy. If there’s one word you would use to describe your life, it would be busy!
And when your schedule becomes so packed and so busy that you never ever seem to get more than 5 minutes to do anything for yourself, that’s a problem. It’s the reason you’re starting to feel completely worn out and like you’ve got nothing left to give.
But how can you make a change? Here are some tips.

Turn Your Phone Off at Least an Hour Before Bed
You don’t need to be glued to the screen for the whole day, no matter how many people are trying to reach you. You deserve to be able to put the phone down and actually unwind before you hit the hay.
After all, if you’re not able to relax – and you’re being bombarded with reminders about such and such, or a request for something else – you’re not going to sleep very well! Don’t let the busy-ness of your schedule rule both your every waking moment AND your unconscious ones too!
Eat for Energy
Not just to stave off hunger, because you’ve got 5 minutes for dinner before one of the kids needs dropping off at their club. And not just to make sure you’ve actually cooked for the family either, as you’ve got a late meeting with a client in about 20 minutes. Eat for your own energy levels as well!
Start packing in energy superfoods, which are usually rich in protein, fiber, and packed with vitamins and minerals. A good helping of broccoli on the side of a baked potato, for example, or even just a nice steak you decided to treat yourself with.
If you do need a bit of easy-access energy, that isn’t too hard to try and work into your current diet, go for some supplements while you work things out. A dose of Tribulus terrestris once per day could help to sustain you while you deal with the fatigue that’s been playing on you.
Start Putting Blocks on Your Time
You need to plan ahead here, which may be a bit difficult. But if you can, pull up your calendar for a month’s time and start blocking out parts of certain days, weekends, and even full weeks altogether.
Now, use these blocks for your own wants, needs, and desires. And no, do not be flexible about these blocks either! It doesn’t matter who ‘needs’ them – you need them more.
When your schedule is wearing you out, take a break for the good of your own health!
