September Reading Plans

I’ve been talking about my monthly reading plans a lot recently (see Summer Reading PlansJuly TBR and August TBR) so I thought it only fair to write a post about my plans for September.

I’ve definitely been getting back into reading in 2015, surpassing my total books read in 2014 a couple of months ago now. In order to get my TBR pile down, I have been setting myself specific reading plans or TBR piles. July was spent reading Agatha Christie books or books relating to Agatha Christie. This month has been spent trying to finish off any series I am in the middle of – I’m doing quite well so far, on my 6th book out of the 10 I picked – all whilst having a reading slump too!).

So what do I plan to read in September? Simply put, I am going to try and get my Netgalley TBR shelf down. I’ve got quite a few reviews outstanding and I want to make sure that my TBR shelf on there goes down and my rating goes up. I am terrible for downloading from Netgalley then getting distracted by another book.

Most of my downloads seem to be cosy mysteries which is a bonus as I know I usually get through these quite quickly. As always I will be sharing my progress in a wrap up at the beginning of October.

Do you set yourself reading plans or do you go with the flow? I’m planning on going to back to going with the flow when 2016 rolls around – but for now, I am content with getting my TBR down dramatically.
