It will soon be the summer holidays and just as quick as a flash after that, those six weeks will be gone and my little boy will be starting school full time. How is that even possible? With summer rapidly approaching, I am keen to spend as much time as possible outdoors and exploring what the UK has to offer.
So what do we plan on doing this summer?
- Visiting London. I remember visiting London lots when I was a little girl and I was completely and utterly in awe of all the landmarks – I remember when I saw Big Ben for the first time, I actually shrieked. It seemed so weird to see it in real life rather than on the television.
- Visit the Harry Potter studios. We only live up the road so we really have no excuse and now that Jack is getting into Harry Potter, even more reason to go, right?
- Visit the seaside. We aren’t going on holiday until late this year so I definitely want to visit the seaside during the summer holidays so Jack can actually visit the beach when it is fairly decent weather. I’m even considering going in the sea with Steve and Jack myself (something I never do so I need to make sure I’m bikini ready for that occurrence!
- Go to the cinema. Would you believe Jack still hasn’t visited the cinema? He’s now at the age where I believe he would sit nicely so I definitely want to take him to see a movie of his choice.
- Visit the farm. We always go during the holidays so this is an obvious choice – Jack really enjoys himself and loves taking a friend.
I’m probably missing loads of things off this list that I can’t think of right now but I really want to make the holidays special for him before he goes to ‘big’ school. What do you have planned?
