Jack’s Favourite Books

Jack LOVES books. Only problem is – he can be a bit aggressive with them sometimes meaning I have to fork out to replace them once he’s ripped them. I try and grab them from his grasp before the inevitable rip and waterworks start but he hasn’t learnt yet…oops! He has a few favourites but below are his top five:

Potty – Leslie Patricelli – This has been invaluable with teaching Jack about potty training. Whilst he isn’t all the way there just yet, he has learnt a lot from this board book.

The Bravest Ever Bear – Allan Ahlberg & Paul Howard – I remember loving Allan Ahlberg as a child so seeing Jack enjoy this book brings me so much joy. I am actually not that big a fan of it as it just seems so silly but Jack loves it so who am I to take it away from him?

The Slightly Annoying Elephant – David Walliams – I won this not too long ago from Sarah and Jack absolutely loves it! I think the colours help but the story is incredibly funny too.

I Love My Mummy – Giles Andrae & Emma Dodd – My Mum tends to pick up books for him whenever we go shopping and this was one she picked up from The Works. Jack loves me reading it to him and will happily flick through the pages by himself.

I Love My Daddy – Giles Andrae & Emma Dodd – Similarly, he also has a soft spot for this one. He will happily sit there alone and read through it – trying to recite it word for word if he knows them.

I am taking part in Oh So Amelia’s Share It Sunday linky – I look forward to checking out your childs favourite books if you link up too!
