How Influencers Can Increase Revenue

Influencers have come a long way over the past few years. What was once a relatively niche marketing tactic has now become an essential part of many brands’ marketing strategies, and that shows no signs of changing any time soon. Research shows that the industry is undertaking a CAGR of more than 22%, going from $16 billion in 2025 to $19.69 billion in 2026.

In other words, it’s a good time to be an influencer.

With that said, the share of the influencer pie is not shared equally. While nano-influencers can earn more than $15,000 a year, and micro-influencers over $50,000, there’ll be many that fall into those categories, looking at those numbers and thinking, well, that’s nothing close to what I make.

That may be true, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t make that much. You just might need to do what all high-earning influencers do, and look at unlocking more revenue sources. In this post, we’ll look at some of the best options — take them on board, and you might just find that, pretty soon, you’re making more than ever.

Sell Your Own Products

Most influencers make their money by promoting other brands’ products.

But there’s a reason why brands turn to influencers in the first place: they’re an affordable marketing strategy that can deliver excellent ROI. So, what if that ROI went to you, instead? Selling your own products, such as merchandise or online courses, is an excellent way to put more money in your pocket. After all, you’ve already got the audience; with a good storefront, you might just find that your audience becomes your customers.

Look At Subscription Packages

Not all followers are the same. Some will be casual followers. Others will be fans — and those people might just be willing to pay extra for exclusive content. Many influencers use subscription platforms such as Patreon and OnlyFans to provide exclusive content to paying customers. This can be an excellent way to drive revenue, and also one of the most straightforward, especially if you use an OnlyFans chat service to manage your inbox or quickly create content in bulk. You’ll need to offer value to your subscribing fans, but if you can, you’ll have a real opportunity to boost your monthly income.

Invest In Your Brand Partnerships

One-off posts put a little bit of money in your pocket. Recurring brand partnerships can provide an income. All too often, influencers take any offer that’s on the table. In reality, success in the influencer world comes from being selective about the brands you work with and then investing in that relationship once the partnership is in motion. It’s ultimately much better to have a few in-depth brand deals than multiple one-off arrangements, especially since they can open up opportunities that go far beyond increasing your revenue. The closer you work with a brand, the more likely it is that you’ll get other perks from them, as well as being more likely to fall on the radar of other top brands.
