I’m Dreaming Of A White Christmas…

When it comes to Christmas, I am quite easily pleased. A new lipstick, a couple of books and some chocolate will do me just fine. That doesn’t stop me compiling list after list of things I have been lusting after for the past year though! Money is tight for most people nowadays so as I mentioned previously, I am grateful for whatever I’m given.

After spending some time at my local Christmas fair the other day with my Mum and Jack, I am certainly feeling even more in the Christmas spirit than I did before. Although we won’t start properly thinking its Christmas until after Jack’s birthday on Wednesday, I’m having great fun switching on the music channels in the morning and dancing round the living room with Jack to such classics as I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday (one of my favourite Christmas songs!). We haven’t got a proper Christmas tree as such this year due to lack of space in our living room but this makes me all the more determined to be in a bigger place by next year – if only for Jack’s sake.

He’s enjoying his Advent calendar so far although he can’t quite understand why he can only have one chocolate per day!  Although he doesn’t quite understand Christmas just yet, he seems to be enjoying the whole process and it would be even better if we could have a white Christmas to put a big smile on my little boys face – he loves the snow!

There is always talk and speculation rife during December about the chances of snow in the UK and I would love it to happen this year. If not for me, then for Jack – I’d really like Christmas to seem like such a magical time of year and a well timed bit of snow would definitely help with that!

My area has a 75% chance of snow which is pretty high – perhaps we will see a white Christmas after all?

  1. We haven't had much snow since the bad winter a couple of years ago and they then made extensive preparations to keep the roads open.

  2. I can remember 1 white Christmas in my lifetime, great as a kid, but now I'm terrified of slipping and injuring myself after gaining a couple of broken bones in the last few years!

  3. If the pavements were cleared when it snows then I wouldn't mind. It gets left and turns to ice! I cleared our path as soon as it snowed last year, for our postman, and any new snow just brushed off easily. If we all did it, it wouldn't be as bad. Bah humbug! : ) x

  4. im really hoping we dont have snow as im guaranteed to fall over and damage myself if we do 🙂

  5. I think, unfortunately for you, it's going to be a wet and windy Christmas.
