Father’s Day will be a strange one this year. Whilst we are now able to do more things whilst still under lockdown, the fact remains there is still plenty we can’t do. I’ve put together some ideas of how you can celebrate Father’s Day this year whilst still under lockdown restrictions. I also want to share with you some fantastic gift ideas from Moonpig that may be perfect for the father figure in your life.
Get Him Some Of His Favourite Snacks
Snacks always go down well as a gift and with us still being in some form of lockdown, staying in seems ever so likely. Getting your dad or father figure some snacks that they enjoy is a great idea as they can enjoy them whilst you watch a film, whilst you have a few drinks in the garden, anywhere really. We opted for the beer and snacks tray from Moonpig.
Get Him A Round of Golf
You can now play golf again and Steve couldn’t be happier. A great way to celebrate is to pay for a round of golf for the man in your life – he will certainly thank you for it. The golf course bucket list we chose is a fab gift idea too.
Do Something Unique
Think outside the box. What would you normally do if there were no lockdown restrictions imposed? What would you buy and where would you go? See if you can recreate that in some way but at home!
Cook Him His Favourite Meal
What does your Dad really love? What would he order if you were going out to a restaurant? Why not see if you can make it yourself? If not, why not order in – he will surely appreciate it!
Go Out As A Family
Now you obviously cannot go out anywhere special but why not go for a walk somewhere nice or visit some open gardens in your local area? Make the day more special than any other day in lockdown!
Give Him Some Me Time
Now if the father figure in your life is anything like Steve, then some me time would be very much desired! Steve is thankful for the days he goes out to work as it breaks up the monotony that is lockdown life. When he needs some time to himself, he takes himself off to our games room to play some darts or something else. Why not ask your Dad if he would like some time to himself whether that is playing a game of darts, having a pamper in the bath or watching his favourite show? That may just be the perfect gift you can give him.

As I’m at home at the moment it’s a little easier to do Father’s Day. Hopefully if the weather is nice my brother can come round too and sit in the garden x
It’s going to be a strange day for sure, Mother’s Day was pretty similar. We’re hoping the weather will be nice so we can have a nice family day in the garden.
I think it will be a little strange celebrating Father’s Day this year, just like Mother’s Day but you can still make it special.
Father’s Day will definitely be different this year. Unfortunately as I live in London and my Dad is in the South-West, I won’t be able to see him this year. Sending him a card and a treat is my only option! Online companies like Moonpig are perfect for people in situations like me.
