How Retail Will Be Looking Forward To Future Events

With Valentines Day over for another year, retail will be looking forward to many more events throughout the calendar year. Some companies may even be looking towards Valentines Day next year, planning ahead for what is to come.

As someone who used to work in retail myself, I know how important these days can be in the retail calendar. Whilst shops are open most days of the year, there are certain events throughout the calendar where brands will go all out and make much more of an effort than they do everyday. Most target Valentines Day, Easter and Christmas Day and some will choose to target events such as Back To School throughout the year too.

But how will retail be looking and planning forward for these future events?

They will almost certainly be considering the best plan of action to maximise potential profits. They know that it is important to garner as much interest as possible in the event and what they have to offer.

The best way to do this is to enlist the services of a retail design agency such as iSi Global. They create and deliver retail design solutions to help their clients improve conversions, ROI and visibility. These are all incredibly important parts of retail – after all, you want to be seen and you want to increase sales.

These big events definitely add a boost to the economy when they roll around. In the United Kingdom alone, Valentine’s Day spending for this year was predicted to jump to 990 million GBP. This is an increase of nearly 15 percent compared to 2021 and it is only likely to go higher next year. With these potential figures on the table, it is incredibly important for brands to be visible and see conversions – and this was design agencies such as iSi Global are here to help you with.

Brands will be spending time over the next few months looking at current trends and how people seem to be spending their money. They will also be analysing the statistics they have at their disposal from previous events to see what proves popular and what could potentially be improved upon.

With the economy starting to be boosted again after the terrible events of the past few years, it is vital that brands and companies get it right in preparation for these events and this is why they may require a little help from those in the know. There is so much planning going on behind the scenes in the run up to these important days and then plenty to do on the shop floor in advance of the day arriving. I remember just how busy the weeks before Valentines Day and Christmas Day were in the shops I have worked in – plenty of promotions, plenty of new designs to put up around the shops – various points of sale and much more. Weeks and months go into these events.

Did you realise so much thought and planning goes into these events?
