I am a big advocate of growing your own. I’d have my own little vegetable bed in my garden here if I could, alas I can’t. But I grew up helping my Dad in the garden and at his allotments and Jack enjoys helping my Dad just as much now. There is something so much more delicious about vegetables that you’ve grown and nurtured yourself.
Nothing beats putting on your wellies and planting the seeds – or weeks later, discovering whats grown really well and which might not have fared so well. Coming up to Winter, plenty of people don’t realise that there are a number of different vegetables that you can grow over the season.
Dickies Store have created a fab little infographic talking about growing your own and edible gardening. They’re also offering a chance to win some fantastic Landmaster wellies so keep an eye out for the bottom of the post!
They share some fab tips on growing and the best conditions to grow your vegetables in!
I knew some of these tips but not all – this are really handy and something I would be taking notice of if I was able to grow my own in this accommodation.

Do you grow your own vegetables? Are you quite green fingered and love being out in the garden? Well, this is the competition for you!
To win a pair of these fantastic Dickies Landmaster Wellies, all you need to do is fill in the Rafflecopter! UK entries only please. All entries will be verified. Competition closes at 11.59pm on the 12th of October, good luck!
