Wedding Planning Wednesday | 011

Together forever, never apart, maybe in distance but never at heart

I picked this canvas up at work a few months back and have been meaning to share it with you since then but keep on forgetting! When I realised that I hadn’t yet written the Wedding Planning Wednesday post for today, I knew I had to write about this! Although this probably doesn’t look like a conventional wedding gift, it is, in fact, part of our wedding gifts section which is actually my section. As you can imagine, I keep spotting things I like and as soon as I saw this, knew I had to have it. I didn’t know for what purpose just yet but I did know that I wanted it at my wedding.

Owning this has also got me to thinking; as well as a normal guestbook, I really want a little notebook where people can write down inspirational quotes/wedding quotes – you know, the kind of things people tell you to prepare you for your life ahead? Has anyone else ever done something like this?

As far as wedding preparation goes, it again has come to a standstill as for the past month, Steve and I have been barely in the same room as he has been so busy at work – we actually have two days off together this weekend, wow! Hopefully soon though, we can start saving a steady amount and actually get round to arranging some things! My previous wedding wishlists are also coming back to haunt me!

Today, whilst walking to work, I passed a market stall selling wedding stuff. Normally, I would walk straight on by, especially now as I am on my spending ban, however the Wedding This Way sign from this WPW wishlist was right in front of me! I resisted but I know that if it is still there when my spending ban finishes, I will be there like a shot!

If you are planning a wedding, how are you getting on? Also, do you have any inspirational quotes?
I’ve also fallen in love with this website over the past week and keep going back for more!

I love that quote/picture! I'm organising a wedding but slightly unconventionally … my fiance is in the USA where we're getting married but I'm still in the UK at the moment until my visa has been approved. This sign really touched me as it describes how we are. Thanks for sharing!
I'm a new follower. I hope you pop by my blog and follow back if you like it

  3. I love the canvass and the quote as well. A guestbook will be a good idea where friends and guests can write a dedication or some kind of a wish as you begin your new journey as a married couple. I think that would be a cool idea.

  4. A notebook where your all your guests will be writing wishes and quotes on your wedding day is a great idea. My friend had one and she really did enjoy that little guestbook, i'm sure you would too and yes, the canvass looks great.

Wedding Planning Wednesday 001

Since getting engaged in September last year, wedding planning has pretty much ground to a halt. Money has been very tight the past couple of months and saving for a wedding has had to take a backseat. However, that doesn’t mean I can’t indulge in a little whimsy on the blog, does it?

So for the first instalment of Wedding Planning Wednesday, what better item to start with than something essential: a wedding planner.

Wedding Planning Wednesday

I still haven’t got round to buying one of these just yet and as you can see, my tastes are very vast. The top left is just a typical pretty, traditional one that just screams wedding perfection. I fell in love with the Me To You wedding planner when sorting out the wedding gifts at work the other day, may have to put my discount to good use!

The top right is another traditional type of planner, another that just speaks wedding to me. Of course, a post about weddings would not be complete without mentioning Rock N Roll Bride, would it? Although not your typical wedding planner, I just adore how different and interesting this book looks. I’ve been tempted by the ‘Our Very Huge Big Day‘ planner a few times whilst browsing Amazon recently, however something seems to be stopping me from clicking that place order button. Finally, perhaps my favourite of them all, the Paperchase wedding planner which unfortunately seems to be out of stock everywhere at the moment… just my luck!

Where would you suggest going for a wedding planner?
Also, would you like to see more Wedding Planning Wednesday posts in the future?

  1. I had a Me to You planner which is probably similar inside to the one you found as it was only 2011 and it was my brain whilst I was planning…..ahh I miss it

  2. I have a very cute wedding planner but I have ended up just using a smooth cover martha stewart for avery journal with some sticky tabs.

Also I can't remember if you have an iPhone but if you search Wedding UK there is a fantastic wedding planning app on there!!

I WANT to have a wedding planner to keep afterwards so i might fill stuff in to my proper one eventually but I havent found i've needed one at all!!

  3. I have no idea of where to go…we went to a justice of the peace, but I do like to read about it and wouldn't mind at all seeing them here in the future. I'm visiting today from the Love my Post hop.
