Book Wishlist : The Christmas Edition

You all know how much I love books so it will come as no surprise that I am currently pining for a few! I know for a fact that two books not mentioned on this wishlist (but just as wanted!) are part of my Christmas present from my parents but here is a selection of books that I currently want to adorn my bookshelves…

The Cuckoo’s Calling – Robert Galbraith *  The Husband’s Secret – Lianne Moriarty * The Moaning of Life: The Worldly Wisdom of Karl Pilkington * How to Fall in Love – Cecelia Ahern *
Bonkers: My Life in Laughs – Jennifer Saunders * Doctor Who: 11 Doctors, 11 stories (Dr Who) *
Inferno – Dan Brown * Never Go Back – Lee Child * Follow Me Down – Tanya Byrne

Yes, I still haven’t picked up Lee Child, Dan Brown’s or J.K Rowling’s latest offerings..should I even call myself a fan anymore? Jokes aside, these will continue to stay on my wishlist until I get them. The Husband’s Secret has rave reviews everywhere I look and the premise seems interesting so I want to give it a go. Karl Pilkington? Need anything be said?

I fell out of love with Cecelia Ahern books for a little while but I am really keen to read her latest offering – it seems like it will be a good read. I loved French and Saunders and think both ladies work just as well alone as they do together – I’m yet to read Dawn French’s book but I’m keen for Jennifer’s book to join the club!

I make no secret about my love of Doctor Who and with the 50th anniversary coming up, a book is being realised with 11 stories by some amazing authors! This isn’t actually available until the 21st November so I am trying really hard not to press that pre-order button!

Finally, Tanya Byrne’s new-ish book. This actually came out in May but passed me by somehow. I loved Heart Shaped Bruise (and subsequently sold my copy because I am a total idiot!) so I have great expectations of this book!

What books are currently on your wishlist? Have you got any good recommendations for me?

  1. I never know what to read at the minute, I always go for pretty covers and they end up being terrible! 🙁

  2. I've just bought How to Fall in Love by Cecilia Ahern, so desperate to read it!! Also really want to read Bonkers as I loved Dear Fatty by Dawn French, thinking it should be just as good!! Xx

  3. I have When Nations Fail on my wishlist.
