Ocean Free Fantasy Kids Hand Sanitiser Gel | Review

We were sent this product for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.

Hand sanitiser has formed a part of our lives for a long time now and it seems like it will be a big part of our lives for a while now. I was recently contacted to see if I would like to review an Ocean Free Hand Sanitiser.

About The Product

Ocean Free Fantasy Hand Sanitisers are surgical-grade, proven to be antibacterial, virucidal and yeasticidal. The highly effective UK-made sanitiser kills 99.999% of many common germs. Contains 70% ethanol to ensure quick effective hand sanitisation, ideal for children! Use and application of hand sanitisers need to be supervised, and only a pea-sized applied to a child’s hands to ensure effective hygiene and safety. Moisturising to skin, Ocean Free has a high emollient content reducing the drying effect on the skin commonly associated with regular use of hand sanitisers.

What Did We Think?

Olivia adored the bottle! She is a big unicorn and rainbow fan so the design was something she could really get on board with. The fact that the hand sanitiser itself is slightly pink was an even bigger bonus for her! It comes in a nice big bottle – 500ml – so will last quite a long time.

It is fantasy scented – whatever that means. I am guessing it to mean unicorns and rainbows and things like that but we did spend time trying to identify the scent. We believe it to be a bubblegum-y scent, perhaps with a hint of fruit.

The sanitiser itself is very much a little and often product. We should be sanitising our hands regularly but a little goes a long way. This sanitiser is a little more liquid-y than some sanitisers we have tried but it does the job well and rubs into the hands nicely.

With many hand sanitisers, Jack has struggled as his hands get very irritated. We aren’t sure why – it mostly seems to be the ones used at school which have a high alcohol content. However, whilst this one also has a high alcohol content – 70%, in fact – it doesn’t seem to have irritated him at all, compared to the others.

Overall, we were quite impressed. It is an affordable sanitiser that does the job but is also gentle on the hands. The packaging is lovely and the scent is absolutely amazing. The only thing I would perhaps suggest could make it better would be making it a little thicker as it is a little thinner than other sanitisers we have tried in the past.

Are you using hand sanitiser regularly?

  1. We have this and I love it, I have it by the front door so we can use it going out or coming in, it smells amazing as well.

It’s great to hear that Jack didn’t react to this one. I found some my kids reacted to and others they were okay with.

  3. We have hand sanitiser everywhere, I can’t imagine a time when we won’t need to use it!

  4. This looks so good . I know the girls would love their own special hand sanitizer made just for kiddies 🙂

  5. Jennifer Prince says:

I love that there is one geared specifically towards kids! It’s cute and practical, too.
