Bounce Back From Lockdown

Collaborative Post

Many businesses suffered a colossal knock during the Covid 19 hard lockdown. But now that the restrictions have been lifted, it’s time to rebuild your brand. Hard work ahead with lots of sleepless nights. Here are some ideas to help you bring your brand back and grow your business.

Remember me?

Get connected with your current customers. Even though your competition was also shut down during lockdown, that doesn’t mean that they are not also busy hunting around for customers, including yours. Please don’t allow them to speak first! Send your customers “where back and missed you” emails. Personalised emails will give it an extra punch and will make your customers feel more connected to you. Add a survey option on your email asking how likely they will come to your business this month. Prompt your message to ask why, not if they say no, by asking why. The feedback will be valuable information you can use to see if you need to change products to suit more clients needs or offer other services that will lure more clients through your doors.

Back in the day

Memories can bring a warm feeling in our hearts, and more times than not, we need to act on them; that’s human nature. So tap into that feeling using nostalgia by retelling the story of how your business started and why. Shine a light on the high moments and remind your clients why they use your company or product.

Growth

Your current customer base is the lifeline in your business. Still, they can just as easily decide to move on to your competitors. You need to be proactive and start gaining new customers. You can use the same strategies you used when you started the business, but add a few new ideas in the mix like:

  • Try us for free or at a discounted rate
  • Use your current customer base and entice them to “refer a friend” by giving them discounted rates or freebies
  • Giving out promotional items at the next community event. An increasing trend is using tumblers as a promotional item

Social Media

Still, being socially connected to the outside world became very apparent during the lockdown. Social media is a part of life and growing more every day. It is vital that you tap into all the essential apps to promote and stay connected with your customers. Use apps like Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, tick-tock, Youtube. Upload your promotions, product review, what is it and how to use it videos to all the apps. It’s a good idea to get a dedicated person to help you with this to make the best splash and reap the rewards.

Lockdown might have given your business a low blow, but don’t take it lying down. Instead, stand up and fight for what you believed in when you first started your business. Make sure you are in the right mindset and know that the road ahead is not easy, but it will be worth it.
