Trending Grubs Every Kid Would Love

Collaborative Post

The quarantine lifestyle enabled many of us to bond with family more. It’s a silver lining amidst this horrific pandemic. Surely, it’s the kids who enjoy it more as most adults tend to work at home and have their presence felt in the household.

The quarantine had most of us all into indoor activities more as well, especially cooking and baking. It can be quite evident in recent vlogs, blog posts, or social media posts. This is an activity that can be enjoyed together by adults and children so why not try these trending foods?

Basque Burnt Cheesecake

This cheesecake is a relative of the New York cheesecake in terms of look, taste, and recipe but it originated from Spain. The Basque Burnt cheesecake is crustless and cooked at high heat. It has a rustic appearance with cracked edges and an almost burnt surface.

Dalgona

The popular Dalgona coffee consists of whipping instant coffee powder, sugar, and hot water until it becomes frothy (stiff peaks) and then adding it to a glass of milk. But use cocoa powder or hot chocolate instead of coffee for the kids. Whisking can be done manually with a whisk or aided by a hand mixer. A TikTok hack also shows that whipping can be done by shaking it in a bottle.

Pancake Cereal

It’s basically pancakes made tinier and eaten in a bowl of milk or maple syrup (whichever preferred). It can be cooked soft and fluffy like normal pancakes (use lower heat) or a bit crispier. It’s more like a novelty dish rather than something new to the tastebuds.

Souffle Pancakes

The batter mixture is whipped (remember Dalgona?) to make it fluffier when cooked. The jiggly look and fluffier texture is faved by many, making it a top trending food. It’s a novelty food as well yet liked by many rather than the pancake cereals.

Breakfast Sandwich

It’s an egg (omelette) and bacon/ham grilled cheese sandwich that uses a different folding technique to make cooking easier or with less mess. Nothing new to the taste buds (unless one tries to be experimental with the ingredients) but the pan frying process is just something new to try or experience.

It’s quite exciting to see what other new food trends will enable us to fully enjoy cooking and eating with kids. Also, for hands free experience while trying out these trending foods, an anti gravity iPhone case may be handy to have. A wireless charger would also be quite helpful.
